Well, I missed out on tix for the Washington preview, but I realized there were two problems with it for me.
1)I already have an event on the 26th to go to
2)Georgetown? Unless the theater is within reasonable walking distance of a Metro stop, I wouldn't brave Georgetown on a Thursday night.

I think they must have gotten overloaded yesterday. I hope this didn't cause any problems with the actual orders.

Aww, my buddy Bill backed out on me. Boston types- would you say that the theater is easily drivable (at least at night when traffic is lighter?) And is there parking?

Yes, but it won't be cheap. The theater is right opposite the Boston Common.

Lilty, the theater is in just about the center of town, near the Common (hence, The Boston Common Theater). I so rarely drive in, I can't say how easy it is to get to, but as for parking, it depends on how much you're willing to shell out. The garage under the Common is cheaper than most of the above ground garages, but I don't know how much it fills up. I doubt that there will be much in terms of on-street parking, but I've never really tried to find it either.
If you weren't driving in, you'd get off the Green Line at the Boylston Street station and be right across the street from it.
Well, 'drivable' in that I've never actually personally driven into the city before. I wouldn't mind too much paying for parking, because otherwise I'd be paying for a train ticket in. But I think thats what I'm going to end up doing anyway.
Lilty, we drove in from Western Mass last week and had no trouble. Granted, both the person driving and the person navigating were Boston-area natives, so I don't know how easy it would be for someone who has little experience with driving in Boston. We parked under the Common, a short walk from the theatre, and paid $10; after a certain hour (6, maybe?), it's a flat $10 fee until 8 or 10am the next day.
I'd say taking the subway in from an outlying station might be your best bet, except that I don't know when the subways stop running on weeknights. I think we left the theatre around 12:15 or 12:20, which seems like it would be cutting it really close for making it back to your car on the T. Will you be heading home that night, or staying with someone in or around Boston?
