Heather, check it.
I wanted to take my brother to the screening as a graduation present (he's graduating high school).
Guess when his graduation ceremony is?
MAY FUCKING 26TH. AT EIGHT FUCKING O'CLOCK.
Goddammit. Of all the days in all the week. *sigh* No
Serenity
for me.
Baaah! Why does Dana's link say that SFistas need to contact the theater directly? Movietickets.com says no such thing!
I now have no faith at all in my own ticket-having. Won't believe it until I'm actually sitting down in the theater and the lights go down.
I would guess that these are theaters where tickets are sold out already, or possibly where the ticket site is overloaded. Providence didn't have this message, and it looks like you can still get tickets there.
I'm trying to ignore the little voice in my head that says despite a screening 5 minutes from my house, I can get a ticket for Providence and drive up to RI and make it in time for the screening. Of course, said voice isn't interested in things like traffic or having to drive back home and/or find a hotel for the night. I think reason is winning out at the moment, but the urge to get an available ticket while I can is there.
I think the nearest screening to me would entail a 16 hour round trip drive. September 30 will have to be soon enough.

Vegas link for the screening is now live.
Oh dear god, I have a tiny part of my brain trying to convince me that I could fly to, say, Dallas for a long Memorial Day weekend and make the screening...despite my complete lack of discretionary funds and the fact that I have to move by June 1...stupid brain.
-t, I considered a road trip to Austin for about thirty seconds.
I was just idly looking at movietickets.com to see if it was sold out yet. I was sure it would be. But, no, it's theoretically possible.
Oh well, I'll console myself be pre-ordering the comic. That'll show, er, somebody.
I can't wait for you all to see the screening! I am DYING to talk about it more.

I sat on can'tstopthesignal for what seemed like forever. I rush out to a meeting? DC gets sold out. BAHfrikinhumBUG.
If any DCistas got tickets and would like the honor of my first born...let's make a deal.
FRACK.
eta: Even MORE upsetting? I called the theatre manager for the DC showing because...well, you never know. He tells me the tickets went on sale at 10am. I perched on can'tstopthesignal until noon. No word. Had I known the time, I'd simply have gone to the theatre. G-D, I'm peeved.
