I sat on can'tstopthesignal for what seemed like forever. I rush out to a meeting? DC gets sold out. BAHfrikinhumBUG.
If any DCistas got tickets and would like the honor of my first born...let's make a deal.
FRACK.
eta: Even MORE upsetting? I called the theatre manager for the DC showing because...well, you never know. He tells me the tickets went on sale at 10am. I perched on can'tstopthesignal until noon. No word. Had I known the time, I'd simply have gone to the theatre. G-D, I'm peeved.
I just got back from the AMC Neshaminy and confirmed that yes, Philly is definitely sold out. (It was worth a shot.)
-t (or Dana) if you do decide to come up here, we'll put you up @ no charge (also feed you).
Lee, could I barter G&J for one of their extra tickets?
JZ, I will ask tonight. I think it should work out. I also have one earmarked for Consuela, if she wants it.
Bah. Looks like Portland (which never got a link off cantstopthesignal, but Fandango finally seemed to have woken up in the last hour or so) is sold out. I'll bet the guy I spoke to on the phone either lied to me, or had no clue and didn't want to fess up about it.
Back in the waiting-for-september corner.

The first time I called the Seattle theatre, the guy sounded a bit exasperated when he told me the screening was sold out. I called back a few hours later (because I didn't entirely trust Exasperated Guy), and got an entirely DIFFERENT exasperated theatre employee who didn't even let me finish asking the question.
"Hi, I'd like to ask about the May -"
"It's sold out."
click, dial-tone.
Aw, Perkins, bless. And thanks!
eirefaerie reports that some of the Fandango cities have changed their times to 9:55 and have more tickets available, or something like that. Go check.
Well, look on the bright side: It's kinda' amazing that most of the showings sold out before the official announcement was even made....
