Damn. And I watched a lot of the Six Million Dollar Man, more shame....shame, shame, shame....
*ahem* Long term memory loss due to premature menopause. *ahem*
But, yay - unearthed Python!

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

If I remember correctly, part of the episode includes Gay Boys in Bondage presented as one of Gilliam's inimitable animations.
Thanks, good to know. Monty Python is one of those "gotta get on DVD" things. Been concentrating on the BtVS and Angel - only one more to go. Have the directorial catalogue of Tarantino and Rodriguez (yes, even Spy Kids, but we do have a 9 year old in the house), working on Christopher Guest and John Waters stuff....you know, the usual.
Isn't that Python ep the Sir Philip Sydey/Superintendent Gaskill one?
I'm sure Mal has smuggled some porn at one point, so the episode is quite relevant to Firefly.

I wonder how Inara would have felt about that. Sexuality -- yay!? Or "Dude, my Guild is supposed to get a cut of each DVD sold -- you're affecting my benefits package here."
Bwah! I love the idea of the Companions' Guild having the same attitude toward porn that modern record companies had towards Napster.
(this is so much fun, we're wandering off topic again... never mind)
I heard that the Pirates bought the Ninjas Firefly DVD's for Christmas.
The Astronauts, however, refuse to belive that Horses In Space could work even in sci-fi, and so are filming a Reality TV show featuring Cavemen and Monkeys.
The Cowboys are wishing they had a spaceship.
Jesus and Santa Claus are preparing for a Live Televised Debate over the existence of the Sta-Puft Marshmallow Man and what, indeed, to do about it.
The Elves and Dwarves have been arguing so much about the ammount of smarm a marmot could snark (if indeed a marmot could snark smarm), that a bloody war has erupted between them, destroying all televisions in the process.
Meanwhile the Robots, having solved the marmot thing, are sitting down with a nice cup of tea.
ETA: Did I miss any?
Oh, come on now. You know the Elves have flat-panel, tastefully mounted into the trunk of the trees.
Yes, but only a few of the Elves know about it.
Isn't that Python ep the Sir Philip Sydey/Superintendent Gaskill one?
YES!!! Hysterical, that one is.
