Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

If I only had a brain...

There are plenty of other reasons to see Serenity.

You know, this is a frelling movie, not the Second Coming of Christ. (Which many of us wouldn't care about, come to think.)

It isn't obligatory. It isn't obligatory for Joss fans. It isn't obligatory for Buffistas. It is a matter of taste, and as people knew long ago in a language that has no native speakers, de gustibus non disputandum est. There is no arguing about tastes.

Can we lay off Allyson now?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

The music in the beginning of the trailer is Kasabian- "Club Foot" Which is on both Charlie and Claire. I will now listen to it on my way home and smile.

I have no opinion on Allyson's opinions. My opinion of Allyson, however, is that she is Mahvellous!!!!!

Um.

I loved that scene -- I thought that she looked like she was dancing -- which seemed so appropriate for the un-natural aptitudes that River has.

That was superb!

As for Simon's shiny shoulder pads, it looks like he was in disguise and busting River out.

eta - And third with the lay off of Allyson. She does not deserve criticism (implied or otherwise) for her stance on the movie.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Can we lay off Allyson now?

I am pissing in the lemonade, maybe. I'm reading everyone's excitement, and I feel so close to it, but I'm not with it, you know? It's an odd feeling. I think the first time I had an inkling of it was at Comicon. It was great to see the actors, but it all just felt flat to me, like I couldn't get too excited about it. And then everyone left to go stand in line to see the actors and Joss, and I was feeling all stoked then, but it was about the Wonderfalls panel.

My opinion of Allyson, however, is that she is Mahvellous!!!!!

Aw, sweet pretty lady, you pretty mahvellous youself.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Kiba,

I am going to DragonCon and am in need of roommate or roommates.

After purchasing my tickets last October, I have yet to even begin to look for a hotel room. ACK!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Ehh, my lemonade still tastes like lemons.

Allyson, you have a new baby. It's all good.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Can we lay off Allyson now?

I didn't see Anthony's post as an attack on Allyson. Allyson's feelings on the movie are much more than whether she likes Joss or not. I thought he was just expressing an opinion on reasons people might want to see the movie, and he's glad that it's more than just "because it's Joss."

I drink a lot of water.

Oh, Kiba, Tamara is good folk. You'll all get along smashingly.
