OK Allyson, I've been avoiding this, but, seriously, you've been dissing the SERENITY movie in passive/agressive terms for months while you've been pimping The Inside (and really, there is no other term for it, though, YES, I'm jonesing for it like all the other Minear-heads).

I just remember several comments about how tired Allyson was (and I am almost certainly paraphrasing) about the hype about the FIREFLY movie, when, as far as I could see, there was no massive hype going on - at least around here.

It's not anything to do with THE INSIDE that bothers me, but the putting down of SERENITY that seems to be there bothers me in comparison. It may be imagined, but Allyson's comments on the movie haven't been much in the positive mode.

I scrolled back through this thread and Allyson's said once this year that she's Fireflyed out. I'm guessing this happened somewhere else? Or before then?

I guess I'm still not clear on what your point is, or what my opinion of The Inside has to do with how I may or may not feel about Serenity.

Joss wouldn't show me anything, he knows not who I am. I've heard descriptions and such, seen the trailer, and I'm not really interested in the movie. I think I'm going to leave the characters where I liked them most, on my DVDs.

Sure I do, because I thought maybe you'd have some insight on the matter. I wasn't aware that I was dissing the movie all over the thread or making passive aggressive swipes, and after all this time and effort, I think it's natural to be Fireflyed out.

Still unclear on how my love for The Inside would have anything to do with my apathy about the movie.

I don't think Frankenbuddha (and I'm sorry to step into the middle of this, but here I go anyway) said anything about Allyson "dissing" Firefly all over the thread". I think what he said is that she's been "dissing it in passive-aggressive terms for months now" [paraphrased], which while may give the same impression as "all over the thread" is actually quite different.

If I may make so bold, he's mentioning what I've also noticed, which is that Allyson may've been more subtextually than actually "dissing" Firefly (although being "Fireflyed out" may not be a literal slam, to some of us it does not advertise the true love and obsession that many of us share).

Not knowing many people here, like, up close and personal, over years of board and RL interaction, I do feel I know enough about basic forum life (that would be the "general forum"-forum, rather than specifically "Buffistas forum"-forum, btw), to kinda read a situation. I don't think Frankenbuddha was tryin' ta start anything, merely curious as to why Allyson's attitude toward Firefly may be such as it appears to be.

I'm positive Frankenbuddha can speak for himself, and it is not my intention to get in the middle of anybody's shit and interfere, no way. I am simply posting my opinion on the current situation, as it appears from the outside, and honestly? I don't see any reason on any side to take offense. A question was asked, I thought sincerely, and if I am wrong in my reading of this in any way, that's just because I, too, make mistakes.
