A friend went to Amazon to buy the DVDs (yeah, me! I had viewing parties at my place, but she and her husband missed the last one, so just had to buy a set for themselves), and the book popped up "others have bought." She decided that I needed to have it. I let her know that she should go with these thoughts whenever they popped up!
You were completely robbed, Allyson. When I saw who was involved, my first thought was, "Oooh, Jane Espenson and Mercedes Lackey!" Had an essay from you been included, it would have been, "Ooooh, Allyson! And Jane Espenson and Mercedes Lackey."
Seems Joss and some of the cast have been confirmed for Wizard World in Philadelphia in June. Maybe I'll go... it's only a couple hours away.
I have a Firefly fan friend who is getting married (to another fan, natch). I'm trying to come up with some lovely quotes for the card, but so far am brain dead. Can anyone out there think of some wedding/happy future together type quotes from any of the episodes? Many thanks!

Something about plowing and becoming one flesh?
Yeah, definitely most anything from "Our Mrs. Reynolds."
You got a wife? All I got is that dumbass stick sounds like it's raining. How come you got a wife?
Captain, everyone should have a chance to congratulate you on your day of bliss.
We'd always hoped you two kids would get together. Who is she?
But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh?
So you two were kissin'? Well. Isn't that... special?
Hooray for Nilly's review site...
I just hate it when I write a longish post, then accidentally navigate away when looking something up, then lose everything I've written!
Thanks for the suggestions. I can't believe I didn't think of OMR. I think I may have to rewatch this weekend. I don't really know the future husband, and there may be parents present, so I'm shooting for not quite so risque as some of the better quotes.

How about "I shaved my beard for you, devil woman!"
I want to exact a promise from everybody on here. Anyone who is planning to line up at the theater for Serenity, please, PLEASE, PLEASE . . . . Do it at the right theater. We don't want to look like the LA Star Wars Nerds.
And I thought I was deluded when I'd tricked myself into believing that Episode III might be worth seeing.
