I've heard that girls typically stop growing around menarche.
That is interesting. I have not heard that before - but K-bug fits the "used to be one of the taller kids, started at 10, and is now on the shorter side". She is 5'2" and constantly complains about being short. I'm 5'5" and was hoping she would end up at least my height.
I could work something out, Lexine...I'm pretty sure.
I aim to please, girlie!
*squishy hugs*
Erika - that would be GREAT! I'm still waffling over how to balance my baseball events and the wedding events - but those are Saturday/Sunday issues.
Happy Birthday, Lexine! May the A's have a great year, as long as the Braves have a slightly better year. (Okay, I hope you have a great year. Any team not the Braves? NSM)
I've never been to spring training. I should get to Orlando sometime. I need to plan a trip to Arizona, too. I've been promising a visit to a friend in Tucson for about four years. It's not something I want to do in the summer. I've been the Phoenix on business twice when it was over 100. All that "It's a dry heat" thing means is that you feel a little cooler just before you pass out on the sidewalk.
These random thoughts brought to you by the Procrastination Society of America. (Slogan: One of these days we're going to have a slogan.)
The it's a dry heat means our 90 is better than, like, Texas 90. That's it...you get into triple digits, no help at all.
Mom was always tall and then she grew a couple more inches when she was in college.
My brother didn't hit his growth spurt until 9th grade I think. He was convinced he'd be short forever. We have one grandmother who is short. Both my grandfathers were around the 6'3" range, both my parents are 5'11" and my mother's family is tall. But, no, my brother was convinced he was going to get the short genes.
Then he grew 8 inches in a year and now he's around 6'3".
Erika! Sistah! Your tagline is my credo, my battle cry. Fuck cute. Baby ducks are cute.
Ginger - the last few years, the temps during Spring Training in Phoenix have been very reasonable. In fact last year it rained. Now, the time i visited in June - hooooooooooooooooooooooot.
