Heh. Yes, I'm home. Until Tuesday morning. Then I'm in NYC for a week. THEN I'm finally home for a little bit.
Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Wow. Jetset meara! That is too much travelling for me. Just thinking about it makes me tired.
Someone tell me to get off the computer and go upstairs. My feet are like blocks of ice down here.
Owen and Christopher are already asleep. I could go up and watch Numb3rs or I could read wrapped up in a blanket on the sofa with a warm cat.
Yikes. I was just going over to the Washington City Paper website to check the price on the apartment I'm looking at tomorrow (that's where I found the ad), and the main story in the paper is about the neighborhood where this apartment is, including many people complaining about giant rats. (Yes, there are also people complaining about crime. The giant rats scare me more.) (And this apartment is kind of more Adams Morgan than Columbia Heights, but I'm not sure where the actual boundary lines are, and I doubt the giant rats do, either.) (And now I've gotten myself sitting crosslegged on my chair, and kind of shuddering, from typing "giant rats" way too many times.)
Moving into my 'hood, Hil? Awesome! However, yes, rats. Gross. But truthfully, they're in pretty much all of DC.
As much as I like Adams Morgan, I don't think I could take RUS's either.
But then, I didn't think Rodents of Unusual Size exist outside the Fire Swamp.
I'm reading Bitches on the sofa wrapped up in a warm cat AIFG!
Thanks, everyone for congrats and good wishes.

you people with your laptop having selves. grrrr.
Next computer is going to be a laptop, dammit.
Just got home from the visitation for my friend. Also just threw up. I don't think the two are related. But, kinda feel like crap due to the combo of the two anyway. At least I got to see a good friend and hang out with her for a bit before the visitation.
Moving into my 'hood, Hil?
Possibly. I'm looking around Adams Morgan and around Arlington. (Trying to figure out whether I want to sacrifice neighborhoodyness or commuting ease. Also trying to find somewhere I can afford.) And yeah, I'm sure there are rats all over DC, but I've been all nicely in denial here. (Rodents are a major phobia of mine. I've seen one or two in the gutters around here, but they've been normal sized and stayed in the gutters where they belong.)
