Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

She doesn't think it's fungal, because she can't think where someone like me would've picked up something like ringworm

Could it be a topical yeast infection? I've had 'em. They suck.

Possibly. You'd think I'd have a regular yeast infection to go along with it, though, and I haven't.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

See, that's what I was thinking.

Possibly. You'd think I'd have a regular yeast infection to go along with it, though,

Not necessarily.

That sounds like a good possibility.

I wish I trusted this dermatologist more. She seemed 90% sure it must be a form of eczema, and that I needed to moisturize more and so on, which just made no sense to me at all. I mean, wouldn't eczema show up on the driest parts of my skin, say my hands or my shins? (Does anyone else get dry shins, or is that just a personal weirdness?)

The thing is, it's in (or has been in the past) areas that are warm and can get moist -- that's why athlete's foot is, well, a foot thing. Because you got socks and shoes making things nice and warm, and if your feet sweat at all, you have a perfect environment for yeast/fungi.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

My little brother just got himself a job and is moving to Boston.

Ahh, the paralyzing fear of my own slackerhood, she is arisen.

What is even happening?

Could it be a topical yeast infection? I've had 'em. They suck.

Possibly. You'd think I'd have a regular yeast infection to go along with it, though, and I haven't.

This is what I had in mind when I said I thought it was fungal, too. Particularly since it's hitting places where you sweat. I had one while pregnant, and did not have a vaginal one.

Did you tell the derm's receptionist that you were under orders not to treat it until you were see, so the dr. could see it active, and that it is terribly itchy?

Yes. But since I called at noon on Thursday, and the doctor doesn't work on Friday, there wasn't a lot she could do for me.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I've got tea tree oil in the medicine cabinet--I've used it on zits in the past.

Can you get that at a normal grocery store?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ahh, the paralyzing fear of my own slackerhood, she is arisen.

Heh. This was part of the Mission Hill episode we watched last night. "My generation played a nasty trick on me. I thought we were all slacking off together, but apparently everybody was sneaking off, working hard and getting dental plans."
