Yay, lisah!! What does the skirt you have look like?
Damn! I don't like the containment. I like to hear about Teh Schmoop! Well, your schmoop. Bitch Schmoop.
Okay, here's a bit o'schmoop that happened Sat. night. We were at dinner with a bunch of friends (Kathy Astrom among them!) and we were talking about getting ourselves nominated for What Not to Wear or Queer Eye for the Straight Girl. A friend said that we all cleaned up too well to qualify. I said that it took work and looked at the BF and said, "Tell them what I looked like at 10 this morning." Without missing a beat, he looked at me and said, "Great." It melted me.
Ooohhh....that's a great skirt! A simple black shirt would work with it if you've got one.

You'd think, and I have a ton of them, but the weights of the materials and colors of black aren't matching up to my liking. (I think I'm focusing my anxiety about the show friday on this one smallish detail.)
Love the skirt. matching the embroidery looks hard. I'd wear it with a red shell or something similarly bright but simple.

My dream is a red, satin-y plunging v-neck wrap kind of a shirt. If only I had a designer/dressmaker on call...
If only. 'Cuz that would look smashing.
That is aww-inspiring, Chikat. What a great guy.
Aidan is going to turn two years old in three days, right Deena?
Yes, on Saturday.
The therapist came. I told her we were sick and she shouldn't come in (to my beyond dirty house) and she said she didn't mind, so she came in, and we had therapy, and she left, and I wanted to sink through the floor (while picking up fruit snack wrappers to take with me to hell). It was a little embarrassing.
Also, to cap off the glory that is today, I made a mistake in the budget. Such a big mistake, in fact, that the fees are still piling up. Our anniversary plans are dead and the grocery budget has shrunk to minimal again. If any more fees pile up we may be eating ramen for a couple of weeks. Damn it. I feel monumentally stupid right now and I'm going to have to tell Greg. This is the third time in as many months and I don't know how to stop doing it or what is happening. I can't find the error. I don't know what I did.
Oh, that sucks about the financial error, Deena. Can your bank at least help you find your error, since you haven't been able to? We used to do that when I was a teller, have people bring in their statements and go over them with them to figure out why they're checkbook didn't balance. Especially if you've made the same error before, it seems like it would be to the bank's benefit to help you to avoid it in the future.
And if it's the bank's error and not yours, you definitely should find that out. It happens.
