Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cashmere, did any maternity stores have you give them your address when you shopped there?

D'OH! I hadn't even thought of that. The fuckers.

Also, did you have a birth announcement in the paper?

Nope. I save my life announcements for here.

There's such a thing as birth announcements?

They start trying to sell you shit while you're still in the hospital--it starts with the pictures and the samples of formula and it never stops. I just got a flyer yesterday for baby shoes from Stride Rite. I'm wondering how the hell they knew he was standing and getting ready to walk. Freak-y.

Yay, askye!!! Sweet!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Should we worry that he's sent two emails in such rapid succession? You know, famous people get these obsessive fans who might, for example, start whole discussion forums just to discuss your writing.

Oh, no worry! The second one was in response to the one I sent him. He hadn't read my first article, so I told him to check my blog.

askye, congrats on the apartment.

Nora, sorry about your friend.

brillig

Has he had a spinal fusion yet?

Fusion in the neck, fusion in the lumbar region. Looking at fusion number 3 where the stress cascaded up the spine once the lumbar fusion was in. I'm hoping it stops, because much further up the spine and we're looking at approaches from the front instead of the back, and the neurosurgeon will not even consider that with a heart patient given the current state of medical knowledge. Fortunately, Hubby has extra vertebrae down in that region, so we're good for a while yet.

I think I need to go write something fluffy. Or--looking at the clock--catch the bus.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Christian Kane and a Blonde Angelina Jolie are on my TV on FX.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Nora}}} I'm so sorry for your loss.

Yay, Askye!

Moving is hard. The official move is Monday, and I think I am almost done packing everything. I don't even want to think about having to unpack all of this stuff.

ION, my boyfriend is the best; he helped me sort and pack all of my books the other night.

What is even happening?

It's a small house. 1 bed room, 1 living room GIANT walk in closet, kitchen and bath. Small yard. and it's a steal. The lady wants to get some one to do an inspection and see if any repairs will be needed, they haven't inspected it in awhile, and that may effect the price.
askye, that's great. Congrats!

I have come to the conclusion that (a) you have an obsessive side and (b) you really shouldn't encourage it.
You're just coming to that conclusion now, Hec? How do you think I got here, in the first place?

Cashmere, it's a lost cause. I was like this about little games (like Solitaire with playing cards, that is) before I ever had access to a PC (not P-C). PC Solitaire was a horrible addiction, and then my folks gave me a little hand held game. Spike Mahjongg was also deadly. Hopefully, like those, this obsession will pass.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

askye, yay on potential house rental!

P-C, congrats on the feedback.

Cindy, I share your pain on the cat-stacking addiction. Unfortunately, I'm addicted without being any good at it.

Serial:

Jonathan and Victoria from the amazing race are going to be on the next Dr. Phil special. I think I just threw up in my mouth a lot.

Heh. I do that, too. I will play something non-stop until I get entirely sick of it and then walk away from it forever.

To be fair, that addictive streak runs in the fam. ;)
