Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Happy late Birthday Anne! Did you have a good time with your folks?

Very, but I am exhaustipated. Plus, I think I caught a cold or some such on the airplane. I was given freezer containers of ossobuco and home-made split pea soup to take home with me, so all is well with the world.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

hm, anyone have experience in getting rental insurance? We're trying to figure out how much we need, and we are trying to decide between 25K and 50K.

I've got rental insurance through Geico; I can't remember if I got 25K or 50K but I do remember that the difference in the yearly premium was negligable. If you have things of great value, go for the bigger sum. Rental insurance is insanely inexpensive considering how much money they'll give you if all your stuff gets stolen--it's worth it to have enough coverage.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, yum on the freezer containers! Glad to hear you had a good birthday, Anne.

I do it because hearing takes brain cycles, and recognising street name takes brain cycles

Once again, it all comes down to RAM. So few of us are packing enough memory chips. Darn Bill Gate and his "No one will ever need more than 64K of memory."

I think that's the right quote.

Punishingly Intricate

Most of the girls at my all girl school were well socially developed. Although I didn't date for forever, I had no problems integrating into the co-ed environment of university.

This was my experience as well...except I dated right away in college...not wisely but I don't think that's because I went to an all-girls school.

I think I caught a cold or some such on the airplane.

bleh. this almost always happens to me. but yay on the homemade soup! That should fix you right up.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I got mine through State Farm. I think I went for 25K because I only have stuff accumulated for one person instead of two. Even with that, though, I only pay about $100/year for the coverage, so I concur with Jen that it's inexpensive.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

yeah, I think we'l go for the 50K of coverage. It is so cheap. I've been on the nag to Tom about this for ages. Had I been able to alter the policy, I would have months ago.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Darn Bill Gate and his "No one will ever need more than 64K of memory."

640K, but yeah.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Huh. The noise or music doesn't distract me. But, I'm probably using up brain cycles on other stuff like, "What's the speed limit in this neighborhood?" "Oh god, I hope this guy passes me so he doesn't get pissed I'm slowing down at every other street." "That sign said 'Glenbriar' I wonder if that's what she meant when she said 'Glenwood'" My head is so loud already, I think the music is just a drop in the bucket.

Up with the sun

Because with the radio turned down, I can tune it out and concentrate on reading street signs.

What Jessica said. I ordiinarily need music when I'm driving, but when I'm lost it's one distraction too many.
