Spike: Taking up smoking, are you? Harmony: I am a villain, Spike. Hello!

Spike/Harm ,'Help'

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Tyco Brahe could get away with it. As it is, MJ should just head to the nearest leper colony. He's stand out a little less.

I feel obliged to note that we're damn lucky to have such a total freakass celebrity as Michael Jackson who is still in the prime of his freakitude. He makes late Elvis and Howard Hughes look stable and sane. I mean, all they did (respectively) was get fat and let their hair and nails grow. MJ's setting a new standard for rich freakery, a mark untouched since the most decadent parts of the Roman empire.

I can't even.

The Michael Jackson photo on the cover page of cnn.com is just weird. You can tell that the entire tip of his nose is prosthetic.

Also, is that a chin dimple? Since when did he become one of the Douglases?

Now tagless for your comfort.

That's a good point, Hec. Our freak-ass glass is half-full rather than half-empty.

Also, is that a chin dimple? Since when did he become one of the Douglases?

I mistook it for a deep puncture wound.

If I only had a brain...

I find it hard to rejoice in the freakassitude now that there's a prosecution for child sexual abuse.

Before that, it was all harmless self-mutilation fun.

And yet--fans. Outside the court. Waving at him. They should be waving torches and pitchforks.

Plus the hiring of a brood mare to sprog, and the dangling from balconies. On that plane, I have concerns. However, on the plane of Freakass Celebrities, he is an unparalleled spectacle.

What is even happening?

I wonder what broke him, what happened in his family, when combined with extreme fame and talent, and earning enough money that nobody who should have told him he was sick did tell him...well, it's just so sick and sad.

I wonder what broke him,

Child stars tend to be seriously broken, especially the ones who wound up supporting their families. (There are exceptions, obviously.)

brillig

You know, there is still the whole innocent until proven guilty thing going on in this country. No, really. Granted, the guy's got some major issues, but I'm still not sold on the molestation issue.

And I'm very freaking sick of hearing about it.
