Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I always liked Eight Cousins and Rose in Bloom more than Little Women.

Me too. They're just more fun, IMO. And Rose gets a better deal in the husband department than Jo, though I know some readers who've never forgiven Alcott for killing Charlie. Didn't bother me, since I've never much cared for that type of guy anyway, and couldn't picture him reforming.

Ooh, and I also love An Old-Fashioned Girl.

WRT later Anne books, I love House of Dreams and Rilla, but usually skip Windy Poplars, Ingleside, and Rainbow Valley. And I re-read the Pat books as often as Anne and a little more often than Emily.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Anyone want to play literati?

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I couldn't get enough of Jane of Lantern Hill but honestly, I could never get all that wrapped up in the Anne books. I adore the story, but I think I got so attached to the movies when I was very young that my young self was almost insulted by differences. I was all "Twins? What freaking twins? I don't think so."

I am going to put them on my reading list for the year, now that I am larger and therefore older than I was then.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Lee, you bet. One game for me. Where?

I'm up for one game. Then I must hie me to bed.

I'll set up a room. Semantics, table 67.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Cuuuute Annabel!

Ah, Lilty, now I understand your euphemism. I'm sorry she felt she had to leave, appreciate that you agreed with her decision, sympathise with your loss.

I forgot to wish Cindy healing vibes for her poor neck. ("Neck-ma" is just going too far, isn't it, folks?)

And I want a cheese cave all my own. Mmm, cheese. I just finished off a box of wheat thins (there were only a handful) with dilled white cheddar. Mmm, cheddar.

Oh, lordy, poor Cindy's neck. A really bad neck is a nightmare.

That is one very defined child you have there, Susan. Nothing vague about her, at all.

Must get offline and out of wet things and into dry warm fleeze if I don't want this particular cold to regain a deathgrip.
