Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

vw's hair looks great. Emeline: still beautiful. Thanks for the pictures, vw.

I hope Emmett's better this morning.

It's very pretty out today. I should probably take advantage of it, since Saturday's prediction is "High of 32, low of 32, probable wintery mix." Wintery mix always sounds to me like some kind of snack food, rather than a disgusting mix of assorted frozen precipitation.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

And to temporarily make it all about mememe, I finally understand a little why people get so nostalgic about how fast babies grow. Because I look at Emeline and think, "Aw, that's such a great age! Her legs still do that little froggie-looking thing! It's nice when they're still all sweet and compact like that." Which is not to say that almost 10-month-old babies aren't perfectly delightful--they are. Annabel gets more talented and beautiful every day AFAICT, and she's definitely showing more of her personality and individuality. But it all goes by so fast, and at least once a day I'm amazed by how very much she's changed in less than a year.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I just saw some ADORABLE pictures of my niece and nephew. My sister sent an ophoto link, totally made my day.

Erin now (almost 3 months)looks JUST like my sister. And Sean (2.5 years)- he's totaly a child model, the way he works the camera, with his Blue Steel gaze, and his beautiful smile on command.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

P-C, man, you have a great smile!

Aw, thanks.

vw, you look lovely.

She did.

I'm going to transcribe an interview! I'm so journalistic. Except I suck, cause I should have pointed the damn microphone directly at him rather than leaving it upright between us. I can hear my own stupid voice clearly, but his is harder to make out.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Pretty pictures of pretty people. I am so jealous of everyone who gets to meet Emma.

Learning experience, P-C. You won't do that again, will you?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Wonderful photos, vw! Isn't Emaline a cutie?

Nope. It's not that bad, now that I listen to it in the quiet of my own room rather than on the bus. But another thing I won't do is try to transcribe in real-time. Stop-start makes it much easier. This is going to take a while, though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If your tape recorder supports it, I recommend getting a foot pedal to turn on and off the pause feature....

Up with the sun

Good luck transcribing, P-C. I hate transcribing and working from tapes, which is why I just take notes. I know some people love tape recorders -- for me, the time and bother of listening and transcribing outweighs the accuracy advantage. The only exception might be straight Q&As, but I've only doone a few of those.

Am I the only one who spent half an hour trying to decide if my face is symmetrical, and playing with photos of myself in Photoshop to determine which is my good side, after reading the conversation upthread? (Conclusion: Not quite symmetrical, right side is my better side, left side doubled looks weirdly like my brother.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

No, but now I'm going to.
