Erin, I am just over 5' and somewhat scrawny.
Edit: Case in point, I cannot find a watch that fits.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I like chokers, but, on me, only when worn pretty high. And simpler is better.
The metal one that you had on at the F2F looked great.
I like chokers, but, on me, only when worn pretty high. And simpler is better. I tend to find ornate jewelry overwhelming, most of the time (once again, on me. On other people, I'm fan). This may be why I only wear a watch, most of the time...
Me too. Generally, my jewelry is a watch and sometimes a mezuzah necklace. I always think that I should wear jewelry more often, because I've got a bunch of nice things, but I usually forget when I'm actually getting dressed.
So you need delicate, Kristin. I have a few delicate pieces, but I go for color, and an organic or vintage look. *sigh* I bought myself a pearl choker to celebrate my first MA...but it doesn't look good on me. But I love the way it feels. I used to just wear it around the house.
EDIT
Hil, what's a mezzuzah? is it the Star of David?
It depends very much on the skirt. My college roommate lived in skirts, but hers were all very long, so the sight-line issue was not so much an issue. But the practicality can become an issue.
I have worn ankle-length to bottom-of-the-knee.
And I don't sit on the stool anymore. (I slide off, anyway: too short.)
Oh, sounds like the helicopter is moving away now. I suspect the drama is over.
I am in a decent (actually lovely little) neighborhood but it is next to the hood. In five years, this is only the second Crime! thing I can recall happening. Unfortunately the first was in December when billytea and DebetEsse were here and we saw the end of an armed robbery at one of the corner liquor stores about a mile from me. So I'm a little jumpy.
I am also hopelessly shallow because I am making dinner and I wanted a glass of wine with it. That I was going to walk to the corner market to get. Which seems, with the distant hum of roters, like a Bad Plan.

Back to the subject at hand, Kristin's choker collection should be supported vocally as she looks fantastic in them.
Yeah. I know that one. I don't like stools very much. Makes me feel 6 years old.
ND, that was indeed a very fine choker, but really only for special occasions. Also? Not mine.
Hee! Cass made me simper like a little girl.
I'd steer away from the walking through crime scenes. It's way too DeathWish!Buffy, without the superpowers.
