Saffron: You're a good man. Mal: You clearly haven't been talking to anyone else on this boat.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Happy Birthday, Windsparrow!

Timelies, all.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

When I used to babysit, I used to hold squirmy babies up by their ankles with one hand, so their butts were off the table. They could twist around, but not get anywhere. Plus they dug being upside down, so it often calmed them down.

Happy Birthday, Windsparrow!

I have coffee. It's enough.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I would! I would! It's easy for me to say not having to do it all the time, eh?

Yup.

And it is cute that she likes the stars her daddy painted for her so much. She always has--even when she was a newborn you could tell they fascinated her.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Cutie Annabel.

I'm going to see my niece next weekend. We'll see how squirmy she is these days (4 months).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Forecast for Brooklyn:

SNOW WILL MOVE IN LATE THIS MORNING. THE SNOW WILL BECOME VERY HEAVY LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING..AND MAY MIX WITH SLEET TONIGHT AS WARMER AIR MOVES IN ALOFT. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE 14 TO 21 INCHES BY SUNDAY EVENING.

Yikes.

About twenty minutes ago, I was looking out the window saying "Huh, it looks like it might be starting to snow." Now it's completely solid white outside. And yet, still contemplating going to an open-house this afternoon. (Also realizing that we have no food in the house, and my boots are at work, which means all the shopping will be done by DH. Poor man. He suffers so much for my flakiness.)

The status is NOT quo.

Oo. The snow just started to trickle down. I'm guessing white-out will follow shortly. So long as we don't lose power, I'm good. Our heat is oil, so that's good, but when we lose power, we lose water--not just hot water, all water. Ah the joys of a well.

Dave just got back from the grocery store. He stumbled in the door, looked at me accusingly and said, "I must love you a lot."

Awwww, I know that look. (You know that Simpson's ep where Marge says "I'm a very lucky woman" and Homer responds "And I'm a wonderful man."? That's DH and me today. I'm still in my bathrobe, drinking tea and posting in Bitches. He's Swiffering the kitchen floor.)

If I only had a brain...

Robin's trick is an excellent one. A baby with its butt in the air isn't going anywhere.

However, honest to God, the simplest solution is to change the baby on a big changing pad on the floor. This also saves your back as the baby grows to a toddler.

Jess, my sistah!

Dave is putting away groceries and making plans to Be Productive. I am in flannel pants and a sweatshirt posting in Bitches and sipping the coffee he brought home for me.

Bad wife!

Then again, I did nursemaid him through the flu the past couple of days. He kinda owes me.
