Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, for the good news, Jilli. Continued ~ma to your friend.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Wonderful news, Jilli.

Deena, I'm sorry about the bad morning. And Susan, the thing about babies is that they grow out of stages pretty fast. The other thing about babies is that the pleasant stages seem to zip by, and the unpleasant ones seem to linger. I'm sorry for the stress.

From Plei's first link, I want this. Isn't it lovely? What I actually have, is this. Which is quite pretty, but not as lyrical. I do love the sterling rims, though, rather than yellow gold. The shapes of the cups and other holloware are the same as in Plei's first link. Paragon is a subsidiary of Doulton.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Jilli, I'm so glad.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

ETA: Oh Jilli, such good news.

I have been collecting teacups for a while, since just before I went to England for the first time in 1998. I started collecting them when I became totally obsessed with tea and afternoon tea traditions. I was packing some of them last night, and I have way too many.

My mother (and JZ's, as I recall from a time when this came up before) had a teacup shower when she married my dad, so she had a lovely collection. In addition to those, my sibs and I have also inherited her china, her mother's china, her great-aunt's china, and at least one other set that noone's been quite able to place. So the question becomes, can one have too much china?

One of the patterns that I have an incomplete (I think) set of is this: [link] , which I'm quite fond of.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

hooray, Jilli's friend! That's wonderful.

I forgot to mention, I was in a meeting this morning with a client and I looked at the woman sitting next to me, and her mug said, "Wolfram & Hart Law Firm." I pointed and said, "nice mug." She looked all conspirital and said, "Oh, you're a fan!" It was awesome. buffy/angel fans in all sorts of places.
