And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Watch it guys, you'll be in hot water if you keep this up.

I bet you can dish it out, but you can't take it.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Ahhhh. That's really sweet. Cute nickname, then.

What is even happening?

Frank, your attitude really gets me steamed.

(SA, I'm sorry. It's Friday, and we don't have cable, so we have to make our own fun. What brenda and Cashmere said about Tea Cup guy. He and sj are one of our two favorite Bitch Ships, the other being Lilty and her Music Store Guy).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

SA, Teacup Boy is called thus because he (aww) noticed on the first date that sj collects them (aww) and brought her one as a present on the second (awww.) All without the teacups ever having come up in conversation or been pointed out. Awww. So sweet.

I approve!

How long have you been collecting teacups, sj? Why did you start?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, boy. Another day where we're getting steeped in puns.

If I only had a brain...

Yo, Girly Bitches:

I found a place that sells goose-down powder puffs. Swoon. [link] The place carries lots of other awesome stuff, including Gal violet-flavored lip balm. [link]

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I'm taking the boy out while it's still sunny.

I'm tempted to sprawl on the floor in a big patch of sunshine and soak it in. I may be part cat. meow

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I've decided to go back on WeightWatchers, starting Monday. DH has been on it since the beginning of the year, and he's lost over 10 lbs. He still weighs over 50 lbs. more than I do, but he's been taunting me about catching up with me, weighing less than me in a few months, etc. So I finally decided the only way to shut him up was to join him on the diet, and besides, if he's going to get all slim and attractive, I want to be that way, too.

I asked him this morning if he'd been taunting me on purpose to get me finally motivated to take better care of myself. He said, "Of course."

He knows me well. The simple knowledge that I need to lower my cholesterol and blood pressure, and that I'd look and feel better, isn't enough to motivate me. But make it a competition, and I'm on fire to go.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I just went back myself, Susan, last week. And I totally get how the competition is way more motivating than the other things. The thing is, the competition can be something that motivates on a day to day level. The other things are all good, far more important really, but they're long-term so they don't necessarily work on the one-more-cookie? level.
