Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

DH and I now have Annabel's cold. He left work at 3:00 because of it. At 3:00 I still felt fine, but I now have a sore throat and a cough.

Ugh. Time to megadoes the vitamin C.

The status is NOT quo.

Dave has the flu. In unselfish terms, I feel very sad for him and want him better.

In selfish terms, this is very bad, as I didn't get a flu shot this year for the first time in eight years. Am I a bad wife for thinking, You came home just long enough to give me the flu and then you're going to leave me to deal with everything alone again?

I think I may be.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

artichoke-stuffed tortellini

Ooh. Yum.

On Monday, I thought I was merely hungover, but now I'm starting to think I may actually have caught something on the plane. Because I didn't really start feeling sick until the end of the flight (nearly 3 pm), and I'm not feeling better yet. Maybe the orange juice I had was spoiled.

Oh, and my attempt at tomato-ness for my pasta turned out passable, though not as flavorful as I would have liked, though the pasta in question was artichoke-stuffed tortellini, so that provided enough flavor.

Tossing in a little of whatever wine you might have hanging around and/or oregano and/or a chopped up sausage-type meat also helps, if it's on hand. Also, extra cheese on top is always welcome. At least in my experience.

My rule on pasta sauces is (unless you have some amazing ingredients, like really fresh tomatoes & basil, etc.) spice and garlic the hell out of them, but if any of those annoy or bother you (I have friends who can't take too much garlic), so take what I say with a grain of...whatever flavoring you can take it with.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I hope Dave feels better and you bypass the germies, Kristin.

and relieved that they've decided to wait until Mom's over her bronchitis before doing the bypass surgery. I'll be able to see her this weekend
So relieved. Even uncracked like a walnut, this is a good thing. The ~ma, I will keep that heading your way.

My boys got delayed, as mentioned, and I crashed out on the couch. I feel so much better now. Just in time to change from fuzzy slippers to kitten heels. So. Much. Better. Though the dream with the snake that kept trying to bite me? Could have skipped that happily. I have a phobia here...

If I am not back later this evening, kisses and sweet dreams to all the Bitches.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Italian researchers have uncovered what they believe may have been a workshop for celebrated Renaissance man Leonardo da Vinci.

In a building just off the Piazza of the Santissima Annunziata in central Florence, the abandoned five-room studio was found beyond a hidden staircase that had been covered up during earlier restoration work.

On the walls, there were paintings that researchers suspect were created by the master's own hand.

Cash, very glad to hear your mother is going to be getting good care. It's always nice to know that the hospital doing the surgery specializes in it.

Cass, nice to see you, sweetie! Hope you're having fun with the uncles.

No shit. What city would that be? I'm curious if it was just covered up or somehow sealed off, because if it was sealed off, letting air in may do a lot of damage in very short amount of time.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Belated -ma to your mom, Cashmere.

Good to see you back here, Cass.

I just realized I have no cat food, and I won't be able to buy any more until the vet opens tomorrow, since Perkins gets sick on grocery store stuff. I am a horrible pet owner.

eta: why are there so many posts in Movies? Is it safe to go in?
