Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

If you're too hungry to do the roasting thing Teppy, start the pasta first, and just do the tomatoes the last few minutes before the pasta is ready. It sounds much better than the tuna sandwiches we just had for supper.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

or a great glowing presence appeared in the cabin and everyone started speaking in tongues.
Vengeful entity...

Actually I think it is a minor weather thing that will just throw off connecting flights. And my uncle is busy talking shop with some of his collegues until the uncle-in-law arrives here.

Their cheese and crackers? Mine...

The status is NOT quo.

This post:

Man, Trudy, and Erin, and now Cass! It's a good week to be a Bitch.
Followed by this post:
Wow, the Top 4 of Evil.
made me laugh out loud just now. Totally unrelated, but giggly.

And mwah to all the Bitches. Man, it's been a rough day today, huh.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Richard Ruccolo, formerly Pete of Two Guys and a Girl, (formerly Two Guys , a Girl and A Pizza Place,) was on Joey tonight as his new assistant.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I think I have effectively put off working on the house for the night. I'm only mildly miffed at myself since I did a lot of work last night. Also, I did manage to make a Home Despot run on my lunch hour, so that has to count towards the "work on the house" quota, right?

Compassionately intolerant

Please forgive a whole lot of skipping...cause my brain is fried. It has, indeed, been a rough day. Sort of in the diamond shoes category and sort of not.

I succeeded in not going mental on any of the republican guests at the inn, but just barely.

In the afternoon, I took three boys (two 14 and one 10) down to find a counter-demonstration and we were completely denied. It was a police state inside the 'perimeter'. Completely unaccessible. And really rankerous. For 'winners' the repubs were certainly cranky, whiny and sarcastic.

I remember standing on a flatbed truck watching Clinton's second inaugural parade and having a woman next to me lean over and ask what the men on the rooftops were doing with 'sticks'. "Um, lady, those would be sniper rifles." She was shocked. No one questioned that kind of security then. It made sense.

But even in the post-911 world, what we saw today was just so bizarro. Completely out of control.

Homeland security is the new corporate fraud. SOMEBODY is getting rich from all this paranoia...and at least for today, DC has to pay. Both in tax dollars (what did they say, 12 million?) and in ambient stress.

Except for the fur coated airheads (I couldn't count them all, there were so many) and defense contractors, NObody was happy in this town today.

Jeez I need a mood transplant.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Sorry Beej. Good on you for demonstrating, though. I'm still in denial.

Oh, look, it's Fay! And Pyramids!

Cass, I'm sorry I had to bug out earlier (dinner and getting the boy to bed). But I'm doing well--getting over my head cold and relieved that they've decided to wait until Mom's over her bronchitis before doing the bypass surgery. I'll be able to see her this weekend (she's going home tonight) and I'll also be there for the surgery.

I hope you're doing OK.
