Laura, I keep hoping that I actually encourage people to check with Snopes, but I secretly believe that mostly what I do is encourage people to not forward stuff to me.
Heh. After I'd replied with snopes links to several emails in a row from someone, I overheard her commenting, "Yeah, when someone sends me something that I want to forward, I don't put Hil on the list anymore, because I know that she'll just reply with a link telling me that it's not true."
I stand with you. I just "reply all" with a snopes link or something that proves the bullshit. Over time it has really cut down on the junk mail I get. I think I may have taught one or two to check facts first.

I wanted to, but figured that, based on the previous statement, they already thought I was annoying enough, and I didn't really feel like pushing it.
Sean sweety, I'll throw you a birthday party. I just did a 40th for DH and a 13th for #1. I got lotsa practice.
