Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

We have separate pots for people who like real coffee and those who want the watered-down dreck. It goes a long way towards maintaining minimum safe levels of sanity around here.

We only have one pot. At first I was so glad that I didn't have to make it. That emotion changed the moment I took my first sip. After we use up the current coffee in the office I'm ordering Starbucks. Hopefully they can't ruin that.

Such a cool thing

BALTIMORE - The mystery man was dressed for the cold rather than tradition, and some spectators were not quite as respectful as in years past. But for the 56th year, a man stole into a locked graveyard early on Edgar Allan Poe's birthday and placed three roses and a half-empty bottle of cognac on the writer's grave.

Well, I've got a job for at least another year. Duke and the Chicago Historical Society signed big-ass contracts, plus there's lots of little contracts that'll keep me working. And all the short-timers who don't like the fact that we work in a shrinking industry can scurry away and leave the work for those of us who love us.

We make the best damned buggy whips in the whole freaking world.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

BNL! "Be My Yoko Ono" Woot!

Deb, are you finding the haircut easy to maintain?

Not really - I find the whole "short hair is easier" thing to be a myth, with my ultrababyfine wispy dry hair. But I've finally got a handle on it, and I made my daughter call David and ask him what the hell he used on it himself, and he told me: Phyto, something called "anti-frissant" or something. So off I go today in search of it.

Susan, that does sound like an ear infection. Alas, babies do get the damned things and I remember them as terrifying and frustrating, since the baby can't exactl say "OUCH Shit! My ear hurts!"

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Yay Connie!

Deb, is this the stuff? [link]

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

And here I was, thinking "Sean."

Lee is so not the nicest one.
