Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Dude! That's an AWESOME Elseworld.

Yeeeeah, actually, she's right. Sorry, man.

What would you do with Dick, who would wind up in Gotham even sans Bruce.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, except I was wondering how Tim was in Gotham, but then I forgot he always was, but, as you said, Dick wasn't.

Maybe the circus comes to Gotham, and Helena kills his parents, and then there's this whole Nightwing/Huntress thing.

See, I dunno. He might stay with the circus. They're his only family.

No, Dick was. Dick's parents died in Gotham. Bruce took him in, but in some versions/variations/stories, there's a period where Dick's in an orphanage after the Graysons are killed.

Oh, and Montoya would probably be corrupt and in Helena's pocket. But not in a f/f way.

Except they didn't keep him once his parents died. Wish I had the Babs memory so I could bring up specific issues relating to it.

But... but...

How can you have Montoya that way in a NON f/f way? I mean, she's our canon kick-ass lesbian!

Writing f/f scares me.

Except they didn't keep him once his parents died.

Yeah, but -- AU. Once Bruce isn't the Bat, all bets are off.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Hi everyone! I've skipped around the board as fast I can because, for the moment, I actually have net access. It's been shoddy to gone the past day, and I can't actually fix it, or complain, because I just bogart my buddy Bill's signal from upstairs.

Not even two days, and it feels like forever. Maybe I've got a problem.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

JZ, And I think it benefits everyone to air opinions, especially ones that may be different, as long as it is done kindly and with respect, which I think you did perfectly.

Not meaning at all to say that folks shouldn't post whatever, but I was fairly glad that today I decided to pay attention to the new filter (or bandwidth conservation measure, as the IT folks like to put it) and tracking that they've installed at work, and wait until I got home to check buffistas. For myself, I think I'm pretty good at skimming things that squick me (although I have learned to believe people when they say they have white-fonted for grossness). I can just see myself talking to the departmental admin services manager:

AS: Do you think that discussion of, um, feathered or religious figure butt plugs is appropriate at any time at work? Did you read that computer use policy that you signed?

libkitty (getting red in the face): Um.....

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

there was something i wanted to say ... but I got distracted by imagining myself in libkitties position...except that oddly, I am the sex expert. I had to explain tantric sex to someone. I had to explain why the term "fluffing the displays " might need rewording. and I knew about the early use of muscle magazines as gay porn. and I helped the guy that needed before and after pictures of transvestites. So they might believe me if I said it was research.

anyway, what I really wanted to talk about was Indian weddings. I have been to two in the US. Long , somewhat confusing if you aren't invovled in the customs, but very tasty. No one seems to pay attention the entire time , except for those in the wedding party. and everyone dances from baby to great grandma, to all the music. and on the east coast - they were only a long day. I am guessing that out here - they are longer.
