Beth, we need to hook up in the not too distant future; I'm doubting the guys will get it together to get to the NAMM show, but we're still thinking of a road trip down to LA, early February maybe. And Nic ordered and received some bigass power tool off Ebay, which is apparently for guitar making, and which he says is going to live with Matt, but right now it's taking up needed space in my office and I want to get it to Matt.

I was planning on just winging it -- basically just taking paella-like ingredients (saffron, shrimp, peas), and making risotto out of them. I use Marcella Hazan's risotto proportions, which I think is 4-6 cups liquid to 1 cup rice, but I'd have to double-check to be sure.
