Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Second WindSparrow's FlyLady recommendation. It's really helped me realize two important things:

1. Babysteps are OK. Your home/office/life didn't get chaotic overnight, so you shouldn't expect to fix it overnight.

2. Keeping an orderly house is something to do for yourself, to make your environment more peaceful and pleasant. Think of it that way instead of resenting it as demeaning drudge work.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

His canon is: Batman is a superhero. Batman can fly and is invulnerable. Superman is stupid. Also, Superman is a crackpot and Batman is NOT a crackpot.

Me thinks his brain canon just wants Supes in Bats clothing.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Yes, Robin is wise. I wish she could come over to my house and get rid of things for me.

Only 9, Ginger?

I was doing a quick estimate. There are three 30" x 6' bookshelves, two 3' x 7' bookshelves, four 2' x 4' bookshelves and one 6' x 5' bookshelf, plus the two large glass museum cases, which is where the knicknacks are.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

When someone says that if you've read a book once, you should get rid of it, it sounds like they're talking in a foreign language.

t Gasp! I love reading books multiple times! You can pick up more things you didn't catch the first or second time around.

An equally foreign concept is having bookshelves that you don't have anything on, which seems to happen with alarming frequency on decorating shows.

Bookshelves are meant to be used for books or knick-knacks, not for just gathering dust.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Getting rid of clothes that no longer fit me is something that doesn't happen in Jilli-Land, because not only do I refuse to admit that I won't be that size again, but also because the things that don't fit me anymore could be taken apart and combined with other things, to make brand-new clothes.

We have officially Run Out Of Space in our house; there are stacks of books on the floor of my ritual room, stacks of books on the dining table, and 4 new Nightmare Before Christmas toys that are still in their packaging because I have no idea where I'm going to put them.

Connie, I think Skulls Unlimited is where you would want to look for a sternum.
