And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Most recommendations I've heard for babies who won't go to sleep on their backs is to let them fall asleep on their stomachs but then, once they're asleep, turn them over.

Yes. Just exactly this. Without leaving the room between the 'falling asleep on the stomach' and 'flipping them over on their backs'.

I can't even.

I like the name Hazel too.

Me also. I don't have much Phinnaeus love though. That won't go well at school, I'm guessing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I was so paranoid about SIDS, I always put Owen on his back. He did, of course, wake up instantly a lot of the time early on. We eventually figured out that he would sleep soundly for HOURS STRAIGHT in his bouncy seat. I set the bouncy seat right beside me on the floor by the bed until he started to outgrow it. By the time we transferred him to his crib at 12 weeks, he had gotten more used to back sleeping.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Yeah, naming your kid Phinnaeus doesn't seem to be much different from naming your kid something like Fleance.

Why not just put a red target on his chest, or hang a sign saying "please beat me up and take my lunch money" around his neck?

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

wheeee!! new eljay friends!! all those who posted their names here have been friended.

Heh. I don't have enough left to dribble.

psh...i know for a fact this isn't true. btw...did you ever sign up for the mommy and baby sign language class? i think that is such a fantastic idea.

if i had a baby i'd be totally paranoid about SIDS too. there's just no rhyme or reason for it. jaedyn hates laying on her stomach. we're having to make her do it so she will learn to roll over and crawl. she'll probably be one of those babies who walks before crawling.

brillig

Phinnaeus

Plus it looks like your parents can't spell. Things have gotten to a sad, sad point when clerks etc. have to routinely ask how your name is spelled. Once I said, "How do you think Connie is spelled?" "With a K? With a Y?" "It's short for Constance." "Is that with the K again? Is there a Z in that?"

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

But he'll be called Finn (or Phinn) which is rakish and cute.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

One of the best feelings in the world is having a human being utterly limp on your shoulder.

This is true, even for a confirmed NotHavingBabies person. My godson did this to me a couple of times, and it made me very happy.

I like the name Lillian Elizabeth very much, but fear I will be calling her Princess TickyBox for as long as I know her.

Remember the conversation last week about paying shocking amounts of money for clothes? I take back everything I might have said about not *really* being one of those people. However, the terrifying amount of money I spent this weekend gets me fabulous, custom-made-to-my-measurements, Gother than f*ck shoes. With bats on them.
