'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Feel better soon, Hecubus.

Thank you. I think I'm on the mend.

Poor Hec! I hope the pictures helped :)

Indeed they did. I'll be seeing Victor and Thessaly soon too, since they're staying here on their California jaunt.

People need to chat more.

I spent the whole morning on the couch blurring in and out of consciousness. Don't know if I could hold up my end of a genuine chat. It was, however, bitterly cold in SF last night. Yeesh. I hate winter. Especially this post-holiday section of January. It feels so dreary, and I always get my bad news between November and February. All good stuff happens in the Spring and Fall.

Now tagless for your comfort.

feel better-ma for Hec.

I've been putting off going to the grocery and we went and got subs for dinner. A place called Jersey Mike's with excellent, extra-thin prosciutto.

The boy's down (a bit early, but we travelled an that makes him tired) and I've had time to introduce SailAweigh to my Spike fic and discover a strange rash around my belly button. That's the highlight of my Sunday.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hmmm...what would you like to know?

How did people like the food?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Let's see, I spent the morning revising my article for the second time. Then I ate Honey Nut Chex and toast for lunch while watching Judgment Day, which pales mightily in comparison to X-Play. Then I seemed to get nothing done, so I went to pick up my pictures from India. I looked at them in Starbucks. They turned out pretty good, for the most part. Then I came back and found some more references on PubMed. Then I ate dinner while watching Jack and Bobby. Now I am here.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

~ma to Hec. Feel better soon!

Mostly lurking...

Poor Hec! You rest...No need to keep me in conversation.

How did people like the food?

I think they did. There was TONS of it! So, we have a lot of leftovers. Did I ever share the menu? Would you like to know?

Because books.

I want to hear about the yummy party food!

I did laundry today, and wiped the baby's snotty-again nose more times than I count. I did some freelance work, took a shower, went to Macy's and bought a cute black sweater and a just-below-the-knee skirt for $12.60 apiece. Gotta love clearance sales.

Then I obsessed about my hair and ate dinner. And yelled at the dog. Now I'm here.

Feel better, poor flu-y Hec!

What is even happening?

Fever got up 102 - not that high - but enough to give me chills. And oh so achey.
I think 102 is pretty high for an adult. In a kid, it's not much, but gah...were I your wife I'd be tempted to be out for 48 hours you must be feeling pretty awful. If you're sure it's the flu, you can get an anti-viral shot, as long as you move pretty quickly. Might want to call your doc in the morning. Poor Hecubus. Drink lots and lots, take a fever reducer, and sleep, sleep, sleep.

We shall both go on requesting
Till you tell us, never doubt it;
Everything is interesting,
Tell us, tell us all about it!

Anyone feel like a literati game?
