Sorry, Captain. I'm real sorry. I shoulda kept better care of her. Usually she lets me know when something's wrong. Maybe she did, I just wasn't paying attention...

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Jen, perhaps this will help: [link]

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Still can't get into my LJ. I can get to the front page, but when I try to log in, Wacky Things happen.

I coordinated a wedding at church today. It worked out pretty well, if you ignore such trifles as the organist not arriving until ten minutes before the ceremony, the freezing rain (I went to the grocery store across the street during the ceremony to try to buy kitty litter or rock salt, figuring that'd be quicker than rummaging through every place in the church that might in theory have something of the kind, and they just gave me a box of de-icer), and the fact the flower girl was so overwhelmed by all the people looking at her that she walked down the aisle in realllly slowwww motion, dropping petals one at a time behind her back. Which was actually very cute, of course.

There was a memorial service scheduled for about an hour and a half after the wedding ended, so we had to very quickly get the sanctuary turned around. So one of the elders got a bunch of volunteers, and I told them what went where. And since they're going to be the ones to make sure everything is OK for tomorrow--no clogged toilets, etc.--and lock up, all I really had to do was empty the trash in the wedding party changing rooms.

But all the elder did was rave about how accommodating I was being! While they were sparing me from what's usually a 2-3 hour slog of a clean-up by myself in a barn of an empty church. I feel like I barely earned my keep this time around--I'd almost be willing to do the cat-herding part of the job for free, but I feel like I earn every penny and more on the facilities side.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ok, so I downloaded Azureus, and the Alias file I wanted (last Wed's) but it says that Windows Mediaplayer will not play it.

You probably need to upgrade DivX.

EDIT Should I take this to the Tech thread?

You can, they know everything.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Probably, but we'd probably just tell you to download and use VLC Media Player: [link]

ETA: Well, some would, some wouldn't.

Thrive to spite them

I just downloaded Azureus, so far I like it better than whatever it was that I've been using.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ack! So which should I do? Both?

Thrive to spite them

Personally I'd do both.

Ok, I think I screwed up. I have no idea what I'm doing.

So I uninstalled Azureus and the VLAN thing.

LEt's try this again, with a few questions.

One, I have to wait to download the torrent I want from the site, right? and it takes a while.

OH, I'm so confused.

The status is NOT quo.

{{{Kristin}}} Because you are always so helpful and so concerned and willing to share. Has anyone ever told you you're a sweetie? And a hot one to boot?

Aww, thanks AmyLiz. You're sweet.

Also, Bitches--now that LJ is [slowly] going up, I'm re-examining my f-list. I have a feeling that there are some Buffistas with LJ's that I don't know but with whom I'm friendly. If we haven't friended each other and you wouldn't mind another little blonde tagalong on your list, feel free to email me [profile addy good] with your username and I'll send mine back as well.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Erin -- install Azureus, and start the torrent -- while it's still listed in the top half of the window, it's not done yet, but you can get all OCD on watching the time tick by. When it's complete, it jumps to the lower window, and you can watch it then.

You don't need VLan or Divx or any viewing related thing until then.
