Castles and cathedrals rock. I can't count how many times my dad took me up to Canterbury Cathedral. Didn't get old.
Well, you know what I mean.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I took several trips to Britain with a castle-obsessed friend. On one trip, in particular, we seemed to do a castle a day and by the end, they had all combined in my head into one giant gray drafty place without plumbing.
Happy lunchtime, people. I spent the day at St Andrews with my best friend being stupid and having fun. It was great.
Heh, that's where Tom's mother lives, and where he went to university. I like St. Andrews.

I love Canterbury with an unholy passion. Been too long.
Because it's Friday, here are some pictures of us in St. Andrews and at the Edradour Distillery.
Mmm... single malt.
Hee. No, Alias. I'd never noticed that before.
Heh. I figured it was one or the other, so I took a chance.
Awesome, SA. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm afraid my trips to Britain are usually ABC tours (Another Bloody Castle/Church), so any companions I have better be into grey piles of rock as well. There are other things to do. Sometimes.
Indeed. I've been to so many castles, man, and while I thought I burnt out on them I was wrong. I'm planning tomorrow's excursion, and it looks like we'll be going to Tantallon Castle and Dirleton Castle. Not that I know how to get there. Well, I know there's a train, but I don't know from then on. Also, I'm trying to figure out if there's anything else out there worth visiting.

I'm going to Canterbury when I get back to London--I'm really looking forward to it. Dana said it was lovely. I've also got trips planned for Greenwich and Oxford, and maybe Dover.

Amen.

Yeah, this is the darkside of travelling in the UK with castle freaks. I tried to space it out and plan other stuff the last time I organized a big trip there. Still, lots of castles.
Oh, Nora. That's so amusing, the shot of Tom in front of the Phi Dept, because I saw that today and said glumly, "Our Philosophy building sure doesn't look like that."

Cool. North Berwick is the beach we went to all the time when I was a kid. No coaches run out that way? IIRC, you aren't that far from Dunbar and the Bass Rock and such stuff, but that may not be real convenient if you don't have your own wheels. Lemme google.
