Nora, won't the bank take it into account, even if it hasn't cleared yet? Ours does. I am sorry, though. That's just so frustrating.
Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Wasn't Willoughby Chase about Guy Fawkes? Ish? Or was that a different one?
What I remember is that Orphaned Cousin comes to live with Uncle, Aunt, and Cousin. Both cousins are girls, and become fast friends. Uncle and Aunt go on trip of some sort, leaving girls with Mean Governess, who locks them in a cupboard and feeds them only breadcrusts. Uncle and Aunt are allegedly in an accident while on their trip, and presumed dead.
Mean Governess sends girls off to Oliver Twist-like orphanage, where things don't look up for them.
I won't spoil the ending.
I don't know. I can't even deal with it right now.
Also? I am sick of people yelling at me because my boss hasn't returned their calls. Listen, ASSHOLES, my boss is overworked and underpaid, is trying to raise a family and do about 3 zillion jobs while shielding all of us from the shit she deals with. You know? SHUT UP. She'll call you back when she has, oh, 3 minutes. She'll even skip lunch for you. So STFU now, 'kay? FUCKING ASSHOLES I'm dealing with today.
I'm going to go postal. I know it. Or have a heart attack. My chest hurts.
Oh, Nora, I hate it when that happens. If you can get it deposited, even if it doesn't clear, the bank may waive any overdrawing charges and honor the outgoing payments. My bank, which is pretty horrible about stuff like that, has done it on occasion, so I think it's pretty common.

I am off.

Nora, maybe Tom can take care of the bank stuff? He could call them, tell them his direct deposit screwed up, but that he's been issued a hard copy check, and ask them to waive all bounced-check fees, etc. If he's a regular direct deposit person, he'll probably get a human being willing to help him out.
Sorry about the bank crap Nora.

he's going there in person- before 3pm- which necessitates leaving work for the day because the branches are far from beverly- and will discuss that with them in person.
We might be OK. I just hate ADP. They fucked up beyond the telling of it many times when I was doing payroll for my previous job- to the point where I had to replace them 3 financial quarters through the year. Also, the bank we chose to do our new, big joint account stuff appears to be sucking, which is disheartening.
This combining finances has been so stressful in general, that shit like this really pushes me over the edge. Sorry for venting.
My four year old is arguing with me about how to spell words.
CHRIS: Mommy, how do you spell Coney Island?
ME: C-O-N-E-Y spells Coney, and I-S-L-A-N-D spells Island.
CHRIS: But there's no ssss sound in island.
ME: I know. It's spelled funny.
CHRIS: But there's no ssss sound in island.
ME: I know.
CHRIS: How do you spell island, again.
ME: I-S-L-A-N-D
CHRIS: But there's no ssss sound in island.
ME: I know. It's spell like "is" "land" but that's just 'cause it's spelled funny.
CHRIS: But there's no ssss sound in island.
