vw, thank you. I can't do the scented products, but am already doing that otherwise, that is, just taking time in the shower to just stand there and let the water run over me, and breathe. It is very relaxing. Morning seems like the time I'm most vulnerable to the panic attacks, so I'm trying to change my routine all over, which seems to be helping a little, too.
My wife and I sort of hashed some things out last night and things are better. Not out of the woods yet, but back from the brink as it were. She seems really down though, although she says it is nothing to do with me.
Gud, blessings on you both.
Wow. Apparently (Or so the LJMainers say) there's a bill right now to return Maine to it's rightful time zone. It'd never make it through, I'm sure, but that would be weird!
What's its rightful timezone? Would it be the same as Atlantic Canada?
I'm sorry she's still down, Gud, and glad you've got a little breathing room. I hope things continue to improve.
Timelies. Nick wanted to talk in the middle of the night. It seems he's frustrated with his life and he wants to go back to school in the fall. He's going to be filling out financial aid forms and studying for the assessments he'll have to take before he starts. I'm hopeful this sticks.
JohnSweden has a new tag.
I'm sorry for your loss, Deb.

Glad to hear it, Gud. I hope you are doing okay.
Gud, I'm happy to hear things are hashing.
Deb, I'm so sorry.
Timelies, all.
Best of luck with the hash, Gud.
Deb, sorry about your loss.
all I remember is something about a dog.
Harumph. But really, that's why I think students might get more out of it if it was taught differently.
"Hated by his kind and by mankind, indomitable, perpetually warred upon and himself waging perpetual war, his development was rapid and one-sided. This was no soil for kindliness and affection to blossom in. Of such things he had not the faintest glimmering. The code he learned was to obey the strong and to oppress the weak."
London wasn't a particularly happy fella.
But really, that's why I think students might get more out of it if it was taught differently.
Though isn't part of it not being old and/or mature enough to really get it?
Great Expectations
freshman year of college was a different read from
Great Expectations
in ninth grade. I also don't remember a terrible amount, period, from that long ago. I've been in school a long time. Like I remember what
The Wolves of Willoughby Chase
was even about.
