Erin, the bulk of White Fang is about abuse and social cliques and hate begetting hate. And then there's a happy ending, which I love too, but the bulk of it is very dark. I think high school students would certainly find a lot to talk about it if you focus on the more allegorical parts. Or maybe I'm biased. I never read it for a class, but I had passages from it memorized by the time I got to college.
'Shells'
Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Really? I think I read it in eighth grade for class, and all I remember is something about a dog.
I love Origins, but just can't justify spending that much money on bath and body stuff. So, I got their "calm to your senses" lavendar and vanilla body cleanser [link]. Then I also got the same scented body souffle [link]. They smell so wonderful.
t guilty
I spend too much money on Origins. My mom got me addicted and now my skin won't take to anything else. I was with Emily when she got the certificate, she practically had to drag me out of there. I do try to stick to just face stuff. I can justify that in my head as being not as expensive, relatively. And their hand cream. And their white tea lotion and cream.
Goddamnit.
Have an organic experience, P-C.
Hands Deb a hot beverage of her choice. Sorry to hear about that.

You mean orgasmic? Those Herbal Essences commercials lie.
Timelies!
It is very raining.
I love lavender and vanilla. Bath and Body has one too, and it calms me down like nothing else.
Deb, well, crap. I'm sorry.
Deb, I am sorry. It's been a tough year for you and the people of your past. I'm very sorry.
Erin, is there some nifty non-class-discussion thing you could do? When I was a senior in H.S. and we read Hamlet, our teacher had us each pick a quote from it, and put it on a t-shirt, with some sort of illustration, and then got permission for us to wear the t-shirts all day (it was a Catholic school, and we wore uniforms). We loved it. Granted, we were the honors class and therefore HUGE geeks, but still.
Ooh, that’s a good idea. I don’t think I could swing the $$ for tee’s...but maybe stickers? Bumper stickers?
Oh, we had to buy the t-shirts ourselves -- I think we all bought 3-packs of Hanes men's undershirts and split the cost.
Wow. Apparently (Or so the LJMainers say) there's a bill right now to return Maine to it's rightful time zone. It'd never make it through, I'm sure, but that would be weird!
Didn't need saying twice, though.
