In both Tom Sawyer and White Fang, you're talking about the tension between license and civilization that was a common theme as Americans saw the end of the frontier.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I got the hat, though. Thanks
Yay!
It's annoying to have to get professors to say things that I already fucking know, just to make it sound more like news. Stupid journalism.
Welcome to one of the reasons I had trouble with Journalism when I was young and arrogant.
But now I'm older and arrogant, and wish I had had the self-esteem to at least fricken keep applying for work in journalism until I got a position *somewhere.*
I could be a burnt-out cynic scoffing at my degree right now.
Oh wait.
Well, the good news is, there's no essay. The bad news is..... if Jen's right, I'm going to hate filling it out worse than I would hate writing an essay.
What are the chances they've got an online app? I'm going to go look.

Daniel, babe, if I hadn't just changed my tag, that would be one. Not to laugh at your pain, but your pain is like mine. But I like this one.
Here you go, Sean, you lazy bastard.
Here you go, Sean, you lazy bastard.
Obviously you don't have any friends in a 12-step program, 'cuz then you'd know what an enabler is.
Thanks, P-C, my enabling friend!
Of course, I'd already hunted the pictures down. Not that I'll ever admit that to David....
WindSparrow, you've gotta type it. For one thing, a lot of applications are scanned into documents once they get to the Admissions department using OCR and passed around that way--I'm pretty sure handwritten documents won't work with OCR.
Heh, when I went to the BC admissions info session, someone asked how to go about submitting it typed, i.e., is there an online document that could be filled out? The admissions woman looked kind of embarassed and said, no, you can just handwrite it. Some other person explained praivately (within earshot of me) that you could take the pdf and convert it to a Word document and then type on that. I didn't do that though. I handwrote. Hey, I wiped up the jelly stains real good though!
