Simon: I swear when it's appropriate. Kaylee: Simon, the whole point of swearing is that it ain't appropriate.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

'Cause I'm suddenly hit with the Must!Change!Hair! Now! bug.

I don't get the must change hair now bug as much as the Must!Cut!Hair! Now! bug. There's this phenomenon in which my hair looks just fine and even has some moments of looking really good and then, overnight, becomes evil hair that won't do anything.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

'Cause I'm suddenly hit with the Must!Change!Hair! Now! bug.

I know the bug, as well.

All this talk of changing hair is contagious. Good thing I have a gift certificate to my salon for 30% off my next visit. Color, cut & style here I come!

What is even happening?

I hear it loves carrots.
Hee. Almost as much as your Teppy!Curls do.

My hair goes into a funk. I schedule an appointment, and it is THE WORLD'S BEST HAIR between when I make the call, and when I get it cut. It's like it's begging me, "Nooooooooooooooooooooooo. Please! We'll be good."

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I keep meaning to watch Mohicans but haven't done so yet. Suppose I should change that someday.

Likewise.

Though I missed the memo on a lot of supposed hotties. Brad Pitt? Meh. Jude Law? Looks OK. Viggo? Might be hot if his voice didn't bug me. Colin Farrell? Blech.

In general Plei, does your hair love pregnancy? Mine did.

t Susan sighs wistfully in remembrance of her erstwhile super-thick, even-shinier-than-Dawn hair

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Today I have the lovely lovely PMS and am having the big hate-on for myself.

Right there with you. Do you have the chorus of Body Image Monsters that start singing "Queeeeeeeeeeen of the Walrus peeeeople!" in your head?

'Cause I'm suddenly hit with the Must!Change!Hair! Now! bug.

I get hit with that. Not that I ever change my hair, but I do get hit with it. Which is why I trimmed my bangs all by myself last night. I did not screw them up, thank goodness.

And given the desire to try out things I know look bad on me (dark brown hair, etc)

stares at Plei

No, don't do that. Unless you WANT to look all pasty and corpse-like, and not in that interestingly pale gothy way.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Heh. Look at all the hairdo enablers picking up the slack while I'm off reading Ple's LJ links.

Jessimoon, I do think that cut would work fine on your face. Honestly, we've seen pics of you with hair to your butt, and an inch long all over, and most of the colors found in a bag of Skittles. Some work better than others, but your features are balanced enough that you can afford to take those risks. And I don't this cut would be risky at all for you.

vw! When do we get pictures of your new 'do?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

In general Plei, does your hair love pregnancy? Mine did.

It's hard to tell. Honestly, it's probably about the same.

No, don't do that. Unless you WANT to look all pasty and corpse-like, and not in that interestingly pale gothy way.

I know, I know.

Because books.

Timelies all.

Any ballet dancers, former or current, around? Anyone know when girls usually go on pointe? Or when they usually start asking to?

It's such a Wednesday here. And the haircut talk is making me itchy because I can't afford until next week at the earliest.
