I want to undress Daniel Day Lewis. And then redress him. Are there no mirrors where he lives? His wife lets him leave the house dressed like this?

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I expect to hold the minority opinion, but I always sort of suspected that's what DDL really looked like. I so missed the meeting on him, even in his "pretty" days.

See, if he'd married me instead of marrying his anima figure, he'd be properly dressed and wouldn't havce the stupid beard.

I'm remembering him in buckskins in LotM and climbing into my bunk.
Connie, yay! on the good review.

I'm okay with how he looks. I'm hugely un-okay with the shirt/tie/jacket thingy he's working. My "really looks like" doesn't include fashion.
I like what's underneath. Even the beard doesn't freak me out too much. But man, I think Arthur Miller's niece should lose custody just by letting him wear that tie/shirt/jacket combo, let alone leave the house wearing it.
I say we grant deb custody and see how he improves.
Oh, Cindy, have you seen the opening sequence in Last of the Mohicans? Cause, GAH. And Eric Schweig is a double bonus. I took my twin to see it and she clutched my arm so hard she cut off the circulation. She looked at me and mouthed the words, "OH MY GOD". He really was sublimely beautiful in that picture.
I need haircut advice. My current style is medium length with some long layers cut in, slightly shorter in front (hitting about at the jawline), almost long enough for a short ponytail in back.
I think I want something more like this, but I'm not sure my hair will actually do it. I'm also not sure about a style that short with the shape of my face -- I have a ginormous heart-shaped head with very wideset eyes, and so I'd like to draw attention upwards and away from the jaw and double chin.
Suggestions?
Jess, I took one look at that haircut and immediately saw your face under it. It's gorgeous, and I think it would work on you.

His daughter, isn't it? Rebecca Miller? Talk about marrying your anima....
I'll take custody of him any day. I nearly died in the theatre, all 7,862 times I saw it. And omigod, yes, Eric was a bonus. Yummy yummy Uncas.
Jessica, I think a style like that would work on you, especially if your stylist made sure to cut layers that will hit at and just above your cheekbones, which should emphasize your eyes.
Jess, what deb said. But ask your stylist, because she'll have your face, your hair, and your picture all in the same place.

No, I haven't. Maybe that's why, but he's just never done anything for me (looks-wise--I think he's a fine actor).

I wasn't as specific as I could have been. Given the way in which his looks register with me, how he looks and is dressed in that picture didn't make me think he could do better. I don't see his pretty, so seeing him dressed like that doesn't make me rue the fashion crisis as much as it would on say George Clooney.
So, I should just print that out and take it to the salon across the street? 'Cause I'm suddenly hit with the Must!Change!Hair! Now! bug. (Plus, going to NOLA at fuck-o-clock tomorrow morning, and want to look better than my college friends remember me. t /shallow Wait, that tag doesn't close.)
