Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Snow Day for the roomie, too. I wish that my coffee was ready and that I had the apartment to myself.

I used to hate this, too! It was never so much fun to take days off when living with B, because she was home during the day anyway (she's a waitress).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

P-C's tagline sounds like it's from the Bizarro Spice Girls.

Yay Minian! I hope your FiL is genuinely happy, Nonian, or at least not obnoxiously disappointed.

Yay Deena's furnace and Beej's stove.

Everyone at my high school (Baton Rouge, La) took the ACT. Our quarterback, who went on to sign with a farm team associated with the Phillies, got a 3. I got a 33. And 800's on the GRE. I test well. Like JZ, I tend to treat multiple choice tests like a puzzle or strategy game, me against the test maker.

Got a wedding invitation yesterday from a couple that I knew were getting married but last time I talked to them they hadn't set a date. The wedding is the first weekend in March. In order to get the group rate at the Westin we have to book early in February. This seems amazingly soon to me. But, yay, trip to New York, where I haven't been in 2 years.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I'm getting majorly squicked out by my roommate right now. She's a teacher, and (from all the phone calls I'm hearing), she's dealing with an abuse situation right now.

But she's already called three of her family members to tell the stories about what happened yesterday. It's a touchy situation and she's using names, etc. Shouldn't there be some sort of confidentiality here? Like, don't use it as gossip fodder?

Maybe I'm just too grouchy this morning.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Timelies.

Also scored insanely well on ACTs and SATs, took the SATs in 7th grade, went to CTY, all of that geeky shit. I will say that "smart camp" was one of the best experiences in my life, and it also showed me that I really don't belong in a higher education environment.

that dry riverbed that is so appealing for building in was not carved in the distant past. The pioneers didn't build there for a reason, people!

Not enough wrod in the world. Fidiots. It's like the people who are rebuilding in Grand Forks. Dude, you're on a flood plain. Flood. Do the math.

The status is NOT quo.

vw, you just made me laugh, a lot. I had almost the same conversation with a non-Buffista friend lately.

Also gronk. And timelies. And where the heck is my coffee?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Other stray thoughts... Puppy met me on the road again Monday night. I greeted her happily and enthusiastically, then pushed her through the gate to her yard, and shut it behind her. She promptly ran out through the driveway gate which was open. So I petted her and told her how happy I am she is my friend, and that I wished very much I could take her home but that I can't. A very firm "Go HOME" as she started following me again did the trick.

Also on Monday the alfalfa field next to my trailer recieved a rather large shipment of manure. Saying there are 20 tons of it might be an exageration, but only because I have no idea what a ton of horse dung looks like, so there might be 5 tons, or there might be 30. About then is when I noticed that my right eyebrow and cheekbone are very achy. Wondering if that shit's allergenic.

Our wings are not tired.

They're called flashfloods, people, and that dry riverbed that is so appealing for building in was not carved in the distant past.

They built a development of multi-million dollar homes recently in the flood plains on the west coast of Florida near where my mom lives. The marketing materials indicated they were selling to the European market. Locals are mind boggled. Granted they are diverting water flow to flood and screw other parts of the population, but one good hurricane and this will not end well.

I haven't put #1 in any of the summer brainiac programs because all he cares about in summer are sports camps. I don't want to turn him off to educational systems. I look at the invitations and hope to see something that he would enjoy.

ION, I am trying to cleanse my brain after spending time with Evil-SIL. Granted I tried hard to ignore the spewing of ignorance, but it would seem that the reason for the earthquakes and floods is directly related to our acceptance of the abomination of homosexuality as normal. It is something of a miracle that I am not in jail for smacking her. I treasure my ability to change the subject. How in the world can my BIL have married such a whacko bitch?

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

There's a Lush store in Boston???

Mostly lurking...

There's a Lush store in Boston???

Yup!

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Forms cunning plan.

Seriously. Because if I got more than a few things, it could get to where the train ticket to Boston would be cheaper than shipping.

Then there could be a day.
