[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

In case you're not really gone yet, Lilty: It got cold today and I wore my warm and toasty and soft hat and scarf. Received compliments and felt warm and pretty. I lost a glove right before my trip to CA, so I also treated myself to matching gloves today. THANK YOU! I know, this should probably be in Goodbye and Good Riddance, but I just couldn't help myself.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

No, I'm still here. Apparently, I'm a big liar. I should go to sleep. I really, really should.

I'm so glad you like your hat and scarf, libkitty!! And you have no idea how strange it is to think of something I made receiving compliments. I usually worry they'll turn out like something my cat attacked. (That's why I used fluffy-ish yarn. I figured it'd hide mistakes better.)

I love that fluffy yarn. Is it Homespun brand? I use it a lot, and it feels the same but I haven't seen this color before.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Yes, it's the Lions Brand Homespun, I think. When I was at the crafts store the second time (I was a dope and picked up blue yarn the first time) I saw this fabulous green, too, and got a skein of it. (Their last.) Haven't seen it anywhere since, and so I can't decide if it should be a hat or a scarf. Probably a scarf.

Dude, I have the biggest bruise EVAH on my leg. I dropped a table top on it at work and now like half of my calf is purple. I have such grace.

Dopey with the tired, now. For really sleep. Goodnight Lee! Goodnight libkitty! Goodnight Moon!

I hope the bruise doesn't hurt too bad. No way to segue this, but I have a lovely seafoamish green in the Homespun, and like the purple a lot too. We lost a local yarn shop last year. Very sad to lose them, but the going out of business sale was like crack for me.

'Night Lilty! 'Night all!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Daniel has a new tag.

I fell asleep during VM. I didn't get half the things done today that I needed to get done. I don't know how I'm going to make it through the semester the week.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Cindy, in case you don't have enough relaxation ideas, here is the one I use, as taught by my Gen. Psych. prof, who swore that if done while falling asleep, this would cause one to enter the REM stage much sooner, thereby reducing the amount of sleep needed. I've tried it for that purpose, and find it works for me. ~~~~ Working from your feet up to your head, contract a group of muscles so you feel them tense up. Then let go, feel how the muscles relax. Take a deep breath, or several - inhaling through the nose, exhale through mouth. Then move on to the next group of muscles: tense, relax, and so on.

You start by tensing your toes. Feel how tense they get. Release the muscles, feel how the tension releases as your muscles relax. Breathe deeply. Tense the balls of your feet, feel the tension, release, feel the relaxation, breathe. Move on to ankles. Calves and shins. Knees. Thighs. Bum. Lower stomach. Upper stomach. Chest. Upper arms. Forearms. Hands. Shoulders. Neck. Face. Scalp.

Cereal, now that everyone sane on the North AMerican continent is in bed.

P-C, I am in love with your new tag. It delights me far more than I can express with mere statistics.

p.s. I used to be able to do calculus in my head, but alas! can no longer perform basic arithmetic in a reliable fashion.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aimee -- good on you for parenting an infant and sleeping. Not a sure bet, by any means.

Thanks, ita. Today though? NSM. However, she is finally sitting in her swing without screaming and even falling asleep in it.

The horrid rain knocked our internet out for 2 days. It finally came back this morning. Ironic thing is that our cable bill came yesterday. The promo rate for our digital internet is finally up and they want $50 a month.

Here I go over to Verizon.
