I like pancakes 'cause they're stackable. Ooo, and waffles 'cause you can put things in the little holes if you wanted to.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Hmm. Go figure. I adore hummus. But not if it's too heavily spiced. I bought the plain for the boy. He ate it spread on Zwieback toast. His wee hands were all hummusy.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I missed that Deena's furnace is still not fixed. That's so wrong.

I like hummus. Especially with lots of garlic. I also like chickpeas straight out of the can.

What is even happening?

Does anyone ever worry that the tests which can have such a huge effect on a person's future are scored so screwily? I mean really, and what's with the 400 points just for showing up?

Because books.

my SATs (combined 1250, I think?). Both, though, my verbal was higher than my math.

Nora is me. This is what I got, as far as I can remember, and my verbal was way higher. Math, I think I got some points for showing up.

Owen likes hummus!

I only discovered it about two years ago, and I like it as long as it's the plain variety. I'll offer it to the baby next time we have some, though, because when I think of all the things I never tried till I was an adult, it's fairly pathetic. We were a Wonder Bread, plain mashed potatoes, canned green bean kind of family. I will say that my mom is a much better and more adventurous cook now, though.

Deena! Much furnace ~ma to you and the family. I can't imagine being without heat for days with the little ones. Stupid landlord.

AmyLiz get out of my brain!!! I was JUST thinking this while feeding the baby. Really. I mean, I never even had yogurt until college. Or Chinese food. Or asparagus. I know my family was stretching a modest food budget to feed five kids and so we didn't eat out or anything but I'm simply amazed sometimes at the kinds of things Owen will get to try that I never even imagined existed until I was an adult.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I love hummus, but like most things these days, require it to be light on the garlic.

Eek! I'd invite you to use our shower, but we're not there!

Mmm.... Jen in my shower... Thank you, you just made me smile!

Hee. It wasnt budget so much for us as that my mom didn't love to cook, and she was also ill a lot of the time (lupus and back surgeries). So we got a lot of Campbell soup-based casseroles and stuff out of boxes.

I've tried to give the kids as many different foods as possible to try, and Ben especially digs it. He loves lox and cream cheese on bagels, shrimp, lobster bisque, anything spicy... I don't think I even had a taco until high school.

ION, Incompetent!Boss has truly lived up to his name today and has, in the process, made my life a living hell. I think he's actually afraid of me, because I didn't yell; I got very *very* quiet and asked "WHO DID THIS?!?"

I need a beer.
