Question: Will hiding in a cavern with stockpiled chocolate goods be any part of this plan?

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Woo Hoo -t Buffista babies are the bestest.

Yeah, poor #1. I hadn't expected him to be so bummed about his score. He really doesn't get that he did well. He is so used to seeing 99%ile on his grade level tests. Of course he doesn't actually intend to use any of his brains for college because he is going to be an NBA star. You wouldn't believe the number of serious discussions we have had on this subject. He feels no need to learn to write a decent essay because sports stars don't need this skill. Parenting.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I thought about that, but my theory was that, unless I made something really huge, I wouldn't get either enough coffee or breakfast. The key would be to super-concentrate the Instant Breakfast.

IIRC, I made an 8 oz shake, probably out of slimfast but maybe some otehr protein powder. It was not much like drinking coffee at all. Your idea is better. I offer my experience as proof of concept only.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

substitute rock stars and you have a Nick.

Congrats -t, such happy news! I promise not to tell your MiL.

Timelies.

Our furnace went out on Sunday. No one came to fix it until Monday. The thing they couldn't track down until it went out again? Not a loose wire, now it's a bad part that they'll have to pick up and install today, unless they can't get it, and then they'll have to order it, and who knows when it will be here? But we should just plan on getting it today.

argh.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

juliana does have a new tag. The re-tagging Teppy did throw me at first.

Congrats, -t! That's great!

Except that I am not JZ.

Yes, but your name is two characters, at least one of which is a letter.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I have a month less to do my Master's than I thought. This semester is going to eat me alive, and I think I'll just preemptively warn you that it would behoove me to become dark grey. If you see me in here too much, insult me till I leave.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yay, -t!

I dreamed a Buffista was pregnant last night (and due in September), but not one in this thread. I am, however, pretty certain that was just me having a weird dream.

Though last week, I dreamed that we were talking with some friends we don't see often (they're expecting their first in a few weeks), and we were discussing their Feb. 19th due date.

When I woke up, I realized that, while I had a vague idea of how far along they were based on some emails from some vague time before Christmas, I had no idea what the actual due date was. So I emailed and asked.

Feb. 19th.

I appear to have managed to do the math in my sleep.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Congrats, -t!

Laura, tell him he needs to learn to write well because it'll improve his vocabulary and make him more articulate for when he becomes an ESPN analyst after his NBA career is over.

Wow, a lot of people here took the SAT in 7th grade. I did, too, and got a Strunk & White book out of it. Between 7th grade and 11th grade I improved my math score by over 200 and my verbal by about 50. However, my verbal was still higher than my math, which apparently makes me something of a freak.

Teppy, dream me a book contract, OK? Or, dream one for somebody, and maybe it'll get to me. Thanks!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Neat -t! Congratulations!

I got really good scores on SAT (I remember taking something, probably SAT in 7th and being invited to Rice) and got an invite to MENSA along with a National Merit Scholarship (or was that for the PSAT?) All I rembember is that it was the first time I'd ever been called to the principal's office, and I was freaked out.

Hmm. In the Dreaming, I am someone else.

Thank you all for teh congratulationses and well-wishes. It makes it more real to be able to tell people. I knew I could count on the invisible people that live inside the computer.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

-t, you can become my business partner. Then the Tee-let can go to college where ever s/he wants to!
