Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I talked to Mom after work, it turns out the testing place did test for FIV ,but the results won't be back until tomorrow. I apologized to Mom. Hearing that it wasn't renal failure was really hard for her becuase she'd already focused on the worst -- that he would be terminal and she'd have to put him to sleep. Now she finds out that his kidneys are okay and maybe his liver is in trouble and maybe it's FIV but if it's not any of that then they don't know. She wants to know what's going on and why he's sick so she can make the best decision.

He looked a tiny bit happier today. I hadn't really petted him since last week and I can tell his lost weight now. He was rather bony. I petted him for a long time and he licked my fingers and hands -- everytime I went to pull them away he'd hook his paw over my hand and draw me back. I figure whatever makes him happy.

Mom wanted to chill out with a movie so we started watching Emporer's New Groove which she got at Blockbuster -- it's much funnier than I thought it would be (I wasn't turned on by the previews or description at all) and we were having a blast watching it until it froze up. Then we switched over to Ice Age (also from blockbuster) which was good but not the same as Emporer. We also had some problems -- she lost her dvd remote and when she got her new tv my brother synched up the tv remote with the dvd player; however it only does play Fast Forward and Rewind and pause I can't figure out how to get Menu or the direction keys to work so we can use the special features and othe rmenu options.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Daniel just told me about the message center, and the whole point of subscribe/unsubscribe.

Color me amazed.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Ali, how heartbreaking. Make me want to go snuggle my beasts.

Generally that means 1. the DVD button in the remote is not pressed first, or more likely 2, the code he punched in is almost, but not quite, the right one.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I just went and snuggled both of mine.

Also mom and I polished off a bottle of wine. I think we are both a bit tipsy. And hilarious. (See: polished off bottle of wine)

I did the pecan-crusted (pronounce it as you wish, I have had pinot noir and am benevolent) pan-roasted salmon over micro-greens with a Morello cherry sauce. With sauteed mushrooms and spinach on the side. I feel Deb-like the dinner was so good. The sides were extraneous given that we had brie and an artichoke/hearts of palm dip thing to start. I am full and happy.

I was punching the DVD button pretty hard, so maybe the code isn't right. I'll have him redo it before he leaves.

Deb--go snuggle all your kitties! I was spoiling my girl yesterday. It's just so frustrating for Mom, Vien is only about 8, but the first few years were really hard on him and Mom's only had him for a few years. Plus before him she had several horrible cats, including Zoe the insane cat. So I've been so happy Mom found a cat. She said that after Vien (whenever that is) she won't get a pet for a long time she's just been burned too many times.

Damn. Just - damn.

I need to gently set Gad on the floor, and go eat dinner, seeing as how I forgot to eat lunch.

I'm going for a walk. 10:45 pm and it's 44 degrees out. Balmy.

Compared to last week's -7 F and 35 MPH winds, this will be a picnic.
