Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I hope Deb appreciates that we sat through Reagan-adulation for her. I mean, it was totally worth it, but still!
Emily, I think it is entirely possible deb is sitting home thinking, "For me! It's too much! I couldn't possibly return so deep a sentiment. After all, I am a married woman."
They did a really nice job on the jewelry. I bought an Arwen pendant for a friend. It is gorgeous.
I'm not sure I could justify the expense, though, otherwise I'd buy it right now.

It cracked me up that that was Deb's lead in. Fortunately, I chose that time to take the dog out so I was able to FF through it and go straight to the hotness.
I would love to have a $500 bag given to me, as long as it was leather with a wide shoulder strap, black, messenger-style with a pouch on the outside of the flap, NON-VELCRO close, and had many pen holders.
I miss my DJ-bag purse, too. It was compact, yet held everything I needed.
Presents make me nervous. I get performance anxiety about opening gifts, which dampens my enthusiasm, which makes it a self-fulfilling prophecy. I'm sure I'll love it, but I hope everyone will forgive me if I freeze up.
I'm sorry. I'm trying to shut up about it. It's just that *I'm* so excited about it. Of course, it's not something I really want, so I hope you love it.

Hey, I don't sit through Reagan for just anybody!
...okay, eventually I muted it because it was raising my blood pressure too much (and I, in turn, was annoying vw with the bitching). And then there was Deb with the loveliness, and all was well! (We did demute after Reagan.)
I don't think $500 is too much to pay for a really well-made bag, but if I were using my own money, it would have to be a One True Bag Such That I Would Never Even Be Tempted By Another Bag Again. But as I have a tendency to be fickle about such things, spending $500 on a bag would only ensure that I'd see something to replace it with within a month.
I just balanced my checkbook, which made me very nervous. I was $250 off (my checkbook said I had $250 less than I should have). I'm glad I found the error, 'cause if I hadn't, I probably wouldn't have figured it out till I got my next statement. And trust me, right now that $250 is needed.
The mistake? Microsoft Money automatically withdraws $250 from my balance each month on the 8th. What for? My car payment...which I NO LONGER HAVE!!!! YAY! And also, phew!
By "bag," do we mean "purse," or do we mean larger than a purse, like you would take to work, with books/notebooks/laptop, etc?
(I still wouldn't pay $500 for either size, because inevitably I would spill an entire cup of coffee INTO it [which I have done], and then kick myself for ruining such a nice thing. But I'm curious as to what all y'all mean when you say "bag.")
If a job ad doesn't have a contact name, would you begin a cover letter with "Dear Hiring Manager" or "To Whom it May Concern"?
