Teppy I fell to the Communists yesterday, so it can't be me.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm not pregnant. I hope.
Not me. Probably. Hopefully.
And then I ran to the backyard and hid in a haystack.
I hate dreams like that. I had two very upsetting dreams about Sara shortly after she was born, and I couldn't shake them for days.
I like the cascade of "Not me!"s I've prompted.

The haystack -- I remember thinking, in the dream, that it would trigger an allergic attack. Love how my subconscious is so practical.
Not me either. (No eastern star, no turkey baster)
Beth - I love the spark Matt gets in his eyes when he talks guitar. I have not had a chance to talk with K-Bug yet about restringing, but will be able to this afternoon.
very definitely not me.
Deena! HUGS!!!!! Were your ears burning last night? You were a topic of conversation at one point - all good, of course.
Definitly not me, Teppy. At least, not unless MY dreams are becoming more, um, potent.
Also, Nora, Cap'n Jack is alive and swimming. Well, not really swimming. He's in the middle of another bout of false death throes. He's such a drama queen.
ION, I had a very candid talk with my boss yesterday. The day before, the assoholic district manager pulled my aside and said that as soon as I could get off of the sales floor, he wanted to take me and my boss to lunch to discuss some things with me. I couldn't leave until the time he was scheduled for a conference call, so it never happened, but it piqued my curiosity anyway.
So my boss took me for lunch yesterday and said she wanted to gauge how I was feeling about things, and if I was fixing to leave. I told her that I'd been so miserable the week before that I'd started to look around, but that I wasn't applying to a barrage of jobs, and I'd only be serious about it if a dream job popped up. (I didn't say that I'd found something that could be pretty great.) I said that if I DID leave, it wouldn't be from being recruited off the sales floor- I wouldn't just be leaving the store, I'd be leaving the industry. I felt ok telling her this because I respect the hell out of her and I knew she'd been looking, too.
So she just asked that if it got to the point where I was interviewing, I be honest with her, as a friend. Then she said that I was about to be seeing a bunch of new faces around, and that the suits were getting ready to re-staff the store after the very bad season. The DM was taking me out to tell me that I was going to be the one to survive the axe, that he knew I wasn't done any favors with regards to training, and that he was committed to my growth.
Not sure what to do now. I think I may still apply for that one job because, as you guys said, nothing ventured. And just because I feel better about the job today, it doesn't mean I won't feel like crap again in a week. It's just never simple, is it?
