Gabriel: Are you trying to destroy this family? Simon: I didn't realize it would be so easy.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Poor sweetie. Hair pats and hot tea for you.

I am writing! The essay I thought I was writing is not the essay that I seem to actually be writing, but that's okay. I'm going with it.

Now tagless for your comfort.

{{{Cass}}} I hope you feel better soon.

fleas are horrible

Now I'm wondering if a flea infestation we had when I was very young might have contributed to my problem with bites. A cat had kittens in our basement and we ended up fostering the kittens until we could find homes for them. It took a while to get rid of the fleas they brought in with them and I recall that I had HORRIBLE bites from the knees down. This is the first recollection I had of nasty insect bite reaction.

My baby* brother was allergic to eggs as an infant, but he outgrew it. Sadly, the lethal peanut allergy stayed.

(*For all values of "baby" which include "ginormous hulking teenager." He's a full head taller than me, and I can't cope.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It was FRUIT cake. And you didn't die.

So we're good, right?

Because books.

How do you handle biting? O's taken to biting my shoulder

Sara was doing that all summer, and whenever possible I just put her down. With a firm "no," but nothing too dramatic -- I can already tell she's the type who will do something again and again if you make a big deal out of it being a real no-no. She stopped with the biting on her own, but it surprised the hell out of me -- I don't remember the boys ever doing that.

{{Cass}} Feel better! Drink tea. Snuggle under the blankets. Read porn. (What? It always makes me feel better.)

Stumbling off to bed...
