I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I've got a ton of gmail invites, too. In case anyone else wants 'em.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

vw, insent....

What is even happening?

vw, that was so lovely. Thank you for posting that here.

I HAVE GMAIL INVITES. WANT ONE? WANT SIX?

They pushed his sentence back until after the holidays. He went in to the county jail yesterday and will be there for two months. There doesn't appear to be any additional time coming up
Will he be able to stay on all his meds while he's in?
since that thing with the town funds seems to have simply disappeared. (I think the town is unlikely to pursue the matter further than the restitution offered by my parents, but nothing has been said officially.)
Keeping my fingers crossed on this part.

Both his therapists visited yesterday. It went well and they took home bath bombs for their Christmas present. He's at 15-18 months developmentally, with a couple of skills at 20 months. His vocabulary is increasing by leaps and bounds. Our next four month goals are to get him to scribble more, to walk up and down 3 stairs by himself, and to use a fork for something other than stabbing his sister.
Deena, this is awesome. He's only 22 months old, right? Awesome. If you figure out a way to get him to use his fork, could you share the wealth? ijs

I hope your flare up flares the heck down, now.

vw, it's small world time. My sister was at the Hinsdale hospital. That's where I was born.

Darn. I'm never going to get rid of these things. I got mine about a day or two after everyone was posting in press or beep me, trying to give them away, so I never bothered.

Mostly lurking...

That's where I was born.

ME TOO! That's crazy! I also had surgeries at LaGrange Hospital. It depended on the surgeon's schedule. He practiced out of both hospitals.

tommyrot, could you try resending to kaseyrae95 at yahoo dot com. It appears that hotmail ate your e-mail. Just more proof that I need to give hotmail the boot.

Because books.

I have unwanted gmail invites, as well. I got the account and forget to use it, too.

vw, that was an awesome story. Just the idea that you can take good memories away from so many surgeries is wonderful.

{{{Deena}}} And go, Aidan! I'll just keep my fingers crossed he doesn't take to scribbling on the walls.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Tomorrow he'll be 23 months old. It is awesome, isn't it? Whee! He's such a snuggle bunny. Yesterday he came and grabbed my chair, slung it around and yelled, "hug! hug! hug! hug!"

Kara uses a fork, but she's a funny mix of trying to be grown up and being extra babyish so as not to miss out on any of the babying fun.

I have work to do, and yet my fingers are all swollen and cranky.

When my brother was incarcerated in a county facility, he got new glasses, regular check-ups, all his meds paid for, a special diet (Type I diabetic), and regular dental visits. He was quite glad to be there. Of course, he ingratiated himself with the officers, and spent more time hanging out in their offices than in his cell, and he got to be the cook so he could supervise his own diet.

OK, I've sent an invite to that address.

Maybe Hotmail blocks gmail invites as "spam" because gmail is a competitor? Or is that too cynical?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Will he be able to stay on all his meds while he's in?

Since he'll be local, it won't be a problem. It's when he gets sucked into the state penal system that all bets are off in regards to medical care. Which is sad. I don't think the state has learned that medicating mentally ill people doesn't equate with "coddling rapists and murderers" yet. Joe will be fine and it's a short stint. The worst thing is that the county lock-up is smoke-free and he's a serious chain smoker (one of the least problematic of his addictions to be sure).
