I have a bona fide Snow Day! My building is officially closed, I don't have to go anywhere, which means I can take the desnowing of my steps and sidewalk and car in leisurely stages.

No snow day here. Apparantly the last time the Institute was closed was the blizzard of '78. It's OK though, it's nice and quiet. And close to home.

I'm at work, too. There is a five foot tall drift in front of the building that maintenance cut a trench through so we could get to the front door.

Fortunately UMB is closed today, so I'm not missing the first day of classes stuck here in Michigan.

I'm at work. The snow wasn't all that bad, and except for my street, the roads were all perfectly clear.
My grandparents (the ones who live in Cape Cod) can't even leave their house. Three of their children are trapped in there with them. From the sound of things, we'll be lucky if there isn't a homicide before the snow clears. Currently, my mom is thanking her lucky stars that she decided not to go up there this week.
