From the "You've Got to Be Kidding" news files:

In a possible rain-related accident at Disneyland, the Aladdin float veered out of control during the Monday night holiday parade and the magic carpet struck spectators, knocking a woman unconscious and sending her to the hospital.

Vaughn's been too busy with Bristow Sr.

Dude. I want to yell at you for putting that image in my head, except I'm pretty sure my brain already went there, but I shall console myself with the notion that SpyDaddy wouldn't go for someone as ineffectual as Vaughn.

There should be more Weiss Slash.

I'm guessing he's not "pretty" enough, but I fail to understand why cute, cuddly, and beer-and-book-buying doesn't trump "pretty".

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

DId anyone post that Susan Sontag has died?

This morning when I got up I stubbed my little toe, badly.

I broke a toe by stubbing it. I had no insurance, and was told that all a doctor could do was tape it to another toe, so that's what I did.

For several weeks my jogging shoes were the only shoes I could wear. I had no pain wearing them, but every other pair of shoes I had made the toe hurt like hell.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Broken toes SUCK. Mostly because there is little to do beyond taping and taking ibuprofen. Also, broken fingers. I've got six fingers that will never be straight again.

Why yes, I was a rambunctious hoyden as a child.

I MUST have a pair of those shoes. Really, really want them.

I have this habit of not turning on any lights when I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. One night, someone had left a chair in the middle of the kitchen floor....

As a result of my broken toe, I found I was limited to about three straight hours of walking before my toe started to hurt. This was very annoying, as I used to love to take very long walks. But then I had a bad knee injury (was hit by a car) so now my knee starts hurting before the toe gets a chance to. And then I busted my ankle, and that usually starts hurting before the knee....

All on the same leg, too....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

All on the same leg, too....

I used to be all asymmetrical that way -- needle removed from right foot; two injuries to the right knee, one resulting in surgery, other thought to be lifelong; threw out back on right side; damaged insertion of right tricep; chipped bone in right shoulder; appendicitis; cyst removed from right breast.

In the past year or so, though, I've near evened out 34 years of bias.

Which shoes, Cash?

I took Kuma to the vet today. As I was putting the harness and leash on him, Bear kept giving me this look, "Why aren't I going for a walk too?" When I opened the door, she tried to dart out. I was already late, otherwise I would have walked her first and then taken Kuma.

When I got back, I took Bear for a walk.

When we got back to the house, I went into the bathroom. She peed on the floor there to make her displeasure known.

I'm a little tired of the malicious urination.
