Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

If I only had a brain...

That's a Canonical Movie that I really need to see. It gets quoted a lot.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I thought it lost steam at the end, but definitely many quotable lines.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's not a spinach movie. It's fun.

OK, now the theme to the TV show Batman is running through my head, but instead of singing "Batman!" they're singing "Nap Time!"

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Spinach movie? I don't get that reference.

Office Space is a fun movie. I'd love to treat a fax machine like that. But make it a computer instead.

Hey, tommy, you still around? Are you near a window? Is it snowing yet?

(Yes, I am in a cubicle with no windows anywhere near me.)

Yeah, it's snowing fairly hard and blowing. Good luck on your trip home!

eta: It wasn't snowing at all a half an hour ago.

OK, off to nap....

Art Crawl!!!

You know how I thought it wasn't snowing?

Well, when I left my office at 4:30 it was snowing in teeny tiny little flakes. By the time I got home (about 30 minutes later) it was snowing ALOT in teeny tiny snowflakes.

So, it's snowing here -- west of Chicago -- enough that the streets and sidewalks have a fresh cover of snow.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

It's snowing up here in Northbrook--I'll be outta here in 15 minutes and hitting the TriState for my drive home. Yippee?

Kat's theory about selecting books for the curriculum included "spinach books" - books which are good for you because they address an important issue. Not necessarily fun.
