I think Tom Hanks did a movie similar to this recently. Something about living in an airport for a really long time…

Gus, on Paul's flight between China and Japan, that's what they were showing.

Which was funny, because his flight from Japan to China was delayed. By about two days. Due to typhoon.

He spent the first 24 hours of the delay trapped in the Osaka airport.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ryan should really have more experience and know better.

I KNOW. Plus, drunken swimming aside, what if an evil doer wandered by and thought "ooh, drunken girl. I do believe I shall do evil to her."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Speaking of Typhoon -- Lee, do you think they were talking about a branch of "our" restaurant on The OC? For all value of "our" that don't involve having eaten there. Yet.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I hope you manage to take off before a glacier covers the airport, Gus. Have a good trip. It will be good to have you in a closer timezone.

I missed the Typhoon reference. Maybe I should rewatch.

Definitely on the yet. We need to get Alibelle to come with us, too.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

See, PMM is cruel, because the phrase "24 hours" just now is ... cruel.

OK, I am schooled. Me bitching about the price of booze and perfume overload does not amount to much against typhoon sufferers.

I am an American. I whine.

They were each given a bottle of water, a roll, an airplane blanket, and a $5 phone credit and just left in the terminal.

Needless to say, they were not happy campers.

I can't even.

OMFG, that was Bobby from Bobby and Sissy of the Lawrence Welk show singing Asscroft's immense Ode to Crap (and why oh why do I know this) at the MisInauguration? We totally have to quest to find the portal back from BIZARRO-land!

I'm gonna be sick.

Holy crap! They are announcing boarding right when I thought I'd deciphered PMM's thing. Possibly.
